YoloinOhio Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I bashed him all week that he can't catch. What. A. Catch.
Big C Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Indeed. He needs to play like that more often.
MDH Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 There aren't many TE's in the league how can make that catch. Before I saw Chandler make it I would have put him in the group that couldn't make it. It was impressive.
Dorkington Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I've always felt that Chandler has good hands. But the last year or so, he's had lapses in talent, or something. Hopefully he gets back to reliability on a consistent basis. And yes, hell of a catch!
YoloinOhio Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Now if he can just make the easy catches... Lol
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Now if he can just make the easy catches... Lol it was a great catch but he will always an average TE.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Now if he can just make the easy catches... Lol Chandler only wants supremely difficult catches. Easy catches are beneath him (or below him, or to the side, or off his fingers...)

Hopefully he gets back to reliability on a consistent basis. And yes, hell of a catch! Agreed, Chandler's hands have been suspect, especially in the ATL game last year. Hopefully he's past that now. At least it looks like he's not likely to be our leading receiver again in 2014.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Chandler is a classic bills player. Flashes of brilliance, mixed with critical errors at the worst time.
The Dean Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I'll apologize too, But I want Chandler to show up week-in and week-out. Today, he made the plays and then some.
inkman Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 He is what he was before the season started. An above average NFL Tight End.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Chandler is a classic bills player. Flashes of brilliance, mixed with critical errors at the worst time. Nailed it, JR. Maybe the worm has turned.
peterpan Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I still think we need a real play maker at TE. That will help us all over the field but particularly on the red zone. Six FG attempts is too many. 3 or 4 of those need to be TDs!! Anyone who saw the Denver game later saw the impact j thomas had early and often. We NEED. To address TE in the draft. We can no longer pass on the Gronks and the Grahams etc.

BigBuff423 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 And along the same lines for me: beautiful throw by EJ, right in the basket over the shoulder...in good coverage. Nicely done...

I was defending him, but even I didn't think he could do that. It was like he saw what we were saying about the Zach Miller Seattle catch and went out there to replicate it.

Gronk, Thomas and Graham weren't household names in college. Vernon Davis is the only highly drafted TE that has panned out. Half these guys are basketball players turned tight end. Now that being said, I'd turn over every stone to find my version of this player. Scout NCAA basketball, whatever it takes because these guys make a difference.
Dorkington Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Gragg hasn't been a game changer yet... but I like what he's been doing on the field so far. I'm kind of wonder if he'll develop into something...
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) I don't get the Chandler hate. He is an above average TE in the passing game. He had a down year last year (drops mostly) but still lead the team in receptions and yards I believe. Edited September 15, 2014 by BuffaloBillsForever
CSBill Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Chandler is a decent TE, and Gragg is the TE of the future
