MDH Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Dixons a special teamer - which is probably the real answer. Yeah, good point, I didn't consider that.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I follow the team pretty closely, but haven't seen any info on this. Injury, behavioural issues? the new Tarvaris Jackson Bryce Brown is here for next year when Spiller leaves probably
Maury Ballstein Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) Mrags said Bryce was here to steal Spillers job. Whoops. Edited September 14, 2014 by Ryan L Billz
Gisele Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Depth. He' s there when someone gets dinged. Great luxury right now. He's not better than CJ or Fred. Coaching decision using Dixon instead.
mrags Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Mrags said Bryce was here to steal Spillers job. Whoops. ya. Gotta watch out for CJs 69 yards today. He was off the charts good running the ball Into the linemens @$$e$ on every run except for maybe 3.

The Bryce brown bat signal worked Add the 102 yard kr and we have reasons for Cj to remain here for a while.

Cletus has been riling me up all day actually. He's been pleasantly surprising so far. Add in the special team plays and I'm almost a billiever. Hopefully he gets better as the season goes on because 69 yards Kant anything to write home about. Neither are his 0 rushing TDs so far this season. 122 yards rushing combined in 2 games and 0 rushing TDs is definately mind boggling for a starting RB in this league.
mrags Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I think Pegs will keep CJ. of course he will. his track record with hanging on to people he shouldn't is ridiculous.
Freddie's Dead Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 At this exact point in time, Boobie > Bryce. Can you say blocked punt? Good purnt on the 4th rounder, but this might have been a depth/injury insurance policy. I'm in wait and see mode on this one.

That's nearly spot on 1000 yard pacing
mrags Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 That's nearly spot on 1000 yard pacing which is nothing special.
NoSaint Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 which is nothing special. I also wouldn't call it mind boggling as you did was my point. If he finishes the year with 1000 rushing yards, a couple hundred receiving a productive kick returner and 8 tds I'd be happy to have him.
CountryCletus Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 He is the only player that has scored each week for us... Aside from EJ... I have never touted CJ as an elite back- more of an elite weapon... I don't care if he's returning kicks, catching passes, or running the ball- defenses must account for him and he's dangerous... I will take a guy like that on my team ANY day!!
Captain Caveman Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 You don't give up a 4th for a RB to make him inactive every week. The only logical explanation for me is Whaley doesn't plan on keeping Spiller and Brown is his replacement next year. Last year they had to play CJ through his injury 'cause they didn't have any other options. Brown is insurance (for this year and also probably next year if Spiller walks.)
BillsBytheBay Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) The way it seemed to me is Dixon is a role player, Brown is a reserve. God forbid an injury rises, I'm sure he'll be activated then. He is the only player that has scored each week for us... Aside from EJ... Tyrod's Tailor Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 It's a long season. I'm sure his number will be called eventually. It's great that we have capable fresh legs in waiting.
Max997 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Brown was acquired as an indsurance policy this year and to take over for spiller or fred if one of them is not on the team next year but he was never going to be active as long as everyone ahead of him is healthy...they dont have even enough carries to get Dixon involved
