The Dean Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Doesn't anyone in this thread understand the concept of "line?" Why don't you idiots just start posting entire album jackets? Poetic license?
Johnny Hammersticks Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 She never mentions the word addiction, in certain company.

BUFFALOKIE Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) When did this turn in to "Opening line to any song you can think of"? The one I just made up in my head, I guess. I just checked. That line doesn't come till halfway through the song. My bad. I'm not crazy! Edited September 11, 2014 by THE KIKO MONSTER
DC Tom Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 when we were called idiots That's no excuse. I call you idiots every day.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Well, I woke up Sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt, and the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, so I had one more for dessert I hope you don't have to ask.... It's Johnny F'in Cash! YES! I remember the first time I heard that song. I was driving down the road, and there was the profound realness to the song.

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans, Way back in the woods among the evergreens There in an old cabin made of earth and wood There lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode. My hero. Met him once.
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 When did this turn in to "Opening line to any song you can think of"? Take this job and shove it I ain't working here no more
Rob's House Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 You part the waters, the same ones that I'm thirsty for. Come to think of it, this is the first line of the second verse. The first is "... the same one's that I'm drowning in" which I still like, but not as much as two others from the same album: Jesus wrote a blank check, one I haven't cashed quite yet. And my favorite: Birds fall from the window ledge above mine then they flap their wings at the last second.
DC Tom Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want
