bonechiller Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Just came across, The police sent the NFL tapes back in April of the punch in the elevator. Ray Rice obviously. Someone is in deep dodo! Maybe Goodell
aristocrat Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I expect to see Roger's resignation fairly soon.
YoloinOhio Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 @Deadspin: Per @AP, voicemail confirms NFL received Ray Rice tape: "You're right," a female voice says. "It's terrible." http://t.co/EbipiiP0sl
May Day 10 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Right next to the pats' cheating tapes?
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Right next to the pats' cheating tapes? Haha; what tapes?
Smiley Dear Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 He should have been fired after burning the spygate tapes. The man has no credibility.
artmalibu Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 He is an outright lair or incompetent. Either way he needs to go!!

TSOL Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Bulldog just said he thinks Godell is handsome
Greybeard Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 So what if they had the tapes and Rice's fiance begged that they shouldn't boot him, and reluctantly they agreed. Does that make the NFL terrible for not kicking him out or nice for giving him a second chance? I don't have any legal knowledge but is it true that if she didn't want to press charges, then no legal action could be taken? When the first video came out and I heard it was in a casino, I assumed what had happened in the elevator would come out very shortly. Casino's tape everything. So where was EVERYONE asking for the video's before? I find the situation everyone is in very odd when you follow the time-line.
BaaadThingsMan Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Who cares, Rice is banned and deleted from Madden. Roger listened to the wife's sob story, who can blame her for trying to protect her meal ticket, and when the video finally surfaced he did the right thing. No need for Congress to get involved, I would think they have better things to do but idk
Rob's House Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I'm still curious whether people think he should be fired for only giving a 2 game suspension or for lying. And if for lying, why? I'm not necessarily disagreeing, just curious as to the rationale behind it.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 @ProFootballTalk Roger Goodell cancels appearance tonight at banquet honoring Jerry Richardson http://wp.me/p14QSB-9zf2
Mr. WEO Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Some posted this here a month ago--that the NFL had seen the tapes (as reported in multple sources back then).

I'm not necessarily disagreeing, just curious as to the rationale behind it. Heck, I think he should be fired because he's done virtually nothing right in this whole fiasco. Not the 2 game suspension part - agree or disagree with that, it is at least a debatable issue. But by trying at every turn to minimize the public outcry and just hope this issue goes away, he's turned it into a PR disaster. If you were an owner, would you really want him to stick around?
Maury Ballstein Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Later roger. Get this bum outta there.
