It's just too bad they didn't bring Colin Brown in ...

The New York Jets worked out several free agents Tuesday, including two veteran guards -- Doug Legursky (most recently of the Buffalo Bills) and Jeff Baca (Minnesota Vikings).

Legursky, a five-year vet, started 11 games last season for the Bills. Baca was a sixth-round pick of the Vikings in 2013.

And play him at left tackle!

Teams are performing due diligence on many of these street free agents so they'll have a measure of familiarity in the event of injuries down the road. It will be a weekly occurrence for many of these guys as they attempt to catch on with a team.

But Legursky , still has value ?

In an emergency, I'd have to say yes if a team needs a veteran interior lineman with the versatility to play both G and C.

Well he does have experience.

Your bringing in a guy to backup either your third or second string linemen. Your choices aren't going to be that great. At least you get some versatility with Doug. That's something? Still don't know how much better or worse he is than the rest of the guys on the street.
