Fortunesmith Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Yes it will happen. Terry Pegula will rename 'the Ralph' to honor Tom Golisano's corporation, Paychex.
RogerNapalm Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 They can name it whatever they want to. It will still be "The Ralph".
Maddog69 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I still always refer to it as Rich Stadium
The Wiz Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Ralph Wilson Field at THE FRACKING Stadium.
Chef Jim Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think it needs to be named after whichever indian god we need to appease. Ralph Wilson Field at THE FRACKING Stadium. So fracking's good now? Cool
The Wiz Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think it needs to be named after whichever indian god we need to appease. So fracking's good now? Cool When it pays for the Bills to stay in buffalo... yes.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) I wonder if a condition to the sale is that he can't re-name the stadium. Edited September 9, 2014 by JR in Pittsburgh
K-9 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Simple. Leave it the Ralph for now. Build a brand new stadium downtown..............sell those naming rights. Build a plaza outside with a Ralph Wilson Statue to honor his contribution to Buffalo I like this plan. I think the new stadium will be located at 1 Ralph Wilson Way and be fronted by the Ralph Wilson Plaza or something along those lines. But I can see Pegula retaining the name in Mr. Wilson's honor as well. The naming rights revenue stream may not be as important to him as others. GO BILLS!!!
The Wiz Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I still always refer to it as Rich Stadium As do I although I tend to flip flop between "The Ralph" and Rich.
K D Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think it should always be called Ralph Wilson Stadium or The Ralph. Delaware North Field at the Ralph or something like that

I can for sure see a Ralph Wilson Plaza with a bronze statue of ralph in the middle.
BuffaloRebound Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 With $1.4B after-tax dollars, I hope Mary Wilson does the right thing and buys the naming rights to any new stadium. $200m for new stadium to be called Ralph Wilson stadium for next 30-40 years.
Billshank Redemption Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I have absolutely no issue with him changing the name, its his team to do what he would like with it.
WickedGame Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Wrong WNY Billionaire. Not if the naming rights are sold to Golisano's company to finance the new stadium. Personally, I like it. Come play for the Bills and get paid. What free agent could resist us?
Homey D. Clown Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 $$$1.4 Billion is a heck of a lot of scratch, and I would think it will lead to Mr. Pegula going into 'Jerry Jones' mode, at least to some extent, and explore more opportunities to bring in revenue. Renaming the stadium seems like the logical first step I don't care if they name it Pampers Stadium, as long as they never play another game in toronto. ever. We're one of the very few teams not to have sold the naming rights to our stadium, and I'm sure that chapped a lot of the other 31 Owner's asses. That meant they had to share more money with Wilson. It used to be Rich Stadium, and it actually always has been to me, I still cal it Rich Stadium for some reason. So who cares in the grand scheme of things
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Considering I work for Paychex... Hell yeah.

Suites, merchandise, naming rights....all go to the individual teams. Some of that money raises the salary cap but is not split up.
