RuntheDamnBall Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Wanted to see them draft Tajh. I am way into the idea.
mitchmurraydowntown Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 I would safely say that for a long-term solution, Boyd offers quite a bit of upside.
YoloinOhio Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 If he is signed, do we lead the league in Clemson players?
ALF Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 His strenghts and weaknesses http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/tajh-boyd?id=2543703
FluffHead Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Tajh is terribly inaccurate so he would fit right in. And here I was thinking this is a brutally slow news day. Thank god for tajh Boyd
YoloinOhio Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 His strenghts and weaknesses http://www.nfl.com/c...boyd?id=2543703 I have always looked at him as kind of a poor man's EJ. His strengths aren't quite as good, and his weaknesses are a little worse.
The Dean Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) I have always looked at him as kind of a poor man's EJ. His strengths aren't quite as good, and his weaknesses are a little worse. I think if him as sort of a poor man's Russell Wilson. Edited September 9, 2014 by The Dean
Guffalo Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I was watching him here since we have lots of Jets coverage, I was not impressed, maybe there is something there, but I dont see him as a solution unless we are taking on a project. If we are taking on projects, look to Clevelands practice squad, Conner Shaw is a smart, tough SOB who would be an upgrade over Boyd (and he beat him all 3 years they played against each other)
eball Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Three weeks ago: EJ-Thad-Tuel Possibly by the end of this week: EJ-Orton-Boyd The timing of this leads me to believe they wanted to see what Orton had in the tank and if he would pick up the offense quickly...they must have satisfied themselves in that regard, so the "guy who knows the offense" argument for keeping Tuel around no longer exists. Bring in a guy with some true upside. Well done, Bills.
RyanC883 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 def. is he better than Tuel. Yes. Sign him to practice squad. Let him learn the offense, Tuel hangs around as emergency 3rd QB perhaps. Bring in a guy with some true upside. Well done, Bills. Agreed. I really like Whaley's style. I don't always agree with his decisions, but at least with the current regime I feel like every decision is made in order to make this a better team. That hasn't been the case in a long while.

Bills Fan since '64 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I have always looked at him as kind of a poor man's EJ. His strengths aren't quite as good, and his weaknesses are a little worse. Terry Pegula is NOT a poor man. We need a rich man's EJ.
mountainwampus Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I still don't think Tuel got a fair shot. How many of his mistakes were targeting TJ, the world's worst football player of all time? Same with Palmer, Thad, EJ, Fitz, and Russel Wilson was also benched under those conditions.
FLFan Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 This would be a great move. Much better developmental prospect than Tuel for the Bills. I hope it works out.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I like it, more than Tuel time. Agree with eball on this.
Bills Fan since '64 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 How many of his mistakes were targeting TJ, the world's worst football player of all time? TJ is only the world's worst football player of all time of the year. In previous years, we had many other worst football players of all time: John McCargo Aaron Maybin Mike Williams (the OT) JP Losman And that only goes back a few years.
Maury Ballstein Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think if him as sort of a poor man's Russell Wilson. This. But not that poor, there's 3 meals a day still on the table.
mitchmurraydowntown Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 So is everyone pretty much onboard with this ??
