For me, one victory in 2014 makes this a little early to wish for. As long as you're speculating, it will be interesting to see whether Russ Brandon is part of the picture going forward? He's the only common denominator the past 14, playoff-less years...

We can only hope the OBD lifers are sent packing and no promises were made to retain their "services" once the sale is final and complete.

It appears Russ is the safest of the three (Russ and the douggernauts) according to our in the know friends in the sale of the team thread

That's fine as long as Russ is nowhere near football operations, has no decision making there and focuses on being the marketeer he is, so be it. Pegula can "'empower" him to run the business side of things only.

I'm fairly sure that Littman & Overdorf will be gone, replaced by Pegula's inner circle.

If reports are true, and the cryptic exclamation point tweets from T-Peg's daughter seem to add confirmation that they are, than this is the best possible scenario: An owner with deep pockets committed to the city and both its franchises. It also means T-Peg is likely to add on to the Harbor Ctr a top dollar NFL stadium to complete the downtown waterfront transformation, and make the games more accessible from the surrounding Rochester and Canadian fan bases.

There may be some darkness before the dawn on the field as things settle in, as happened with the Sabres, but make no mistake...this is going to become a championship city with a nice economic rebirth. Cheers to the confirmation of these rumors coming soon.

Just out of curiosity, how many NFL owners do own another sports franchise?

Don't know about now but at one point in time Wayne Huizenga owned the Dolphins, Panthers and Marlins.
