The Giants OL got old and banged up, you can see they're not good enough right now, not to mention they're installing a new offense.

Wow does Eli look bad. I know EJ is not elite yet and may never be, but the Giants have problems we might not have.

This is not just a consideration for the first game of the 2014 season but is pretty much the true for all of 2013 as well. If you think of franchise QB as a "marriage" between an NFL team and their QB, then Fitz was like a living arrangement with an out clause but Eli and his $20 million against the cap this year and next might be headed to divorce court.

He will the worst qb to ever win 2 SBs. Those weren't even good Giant teams. They got hot at the right time & Eli made a few plays. He was never an elite qb. He basically is Jay Cutler.

When is the last time the Giants had a good offensive line?

They weren't great but they were together for a long time and that made for a cohesive group, it seems like they fell apart in unison.

So if you had a chance to swap straight up Eli for EJ would you do it? I don't think I would. Maybe it's just hangover from Sunday.

I think Eli would change the Giants for the Bills right now.

Eli has a a great quality; he is never injured & is the NFLs current ironman at QB.

He's statistically equivalent to Jim Kelly, and assuming he plays another 5 seasons will finish around 50,000 yards.

Add up 2 Super Bowls & you have a Hall of a Fame QB. Not evening factoring he plays in the demanding NY market.

Eli's career average QB rating is 81. That is at best just above average. Drew Brees has an average of 95 while Aaron Rodgers has an average of 101. Those are elite numbers.

Eli may make the hall of fame but it probably won't be first ballot.

Speaking of QBs with awful days, how about Tony Romo... just brutal. If EJ ever has a day like that I'm sure we'll be calling to cut him instantly and elevate Tuel time for the rest of the year.
