too little and FAR too late!

The days of industry in the US appear over, to say nothing of the northeast. The present and -hopefully -future is service and no company considers Buffalo as a place to move to or set up shop. Egress has been one way for 2+ decades.. OUT!

This isn't likely to change in the forseeable future.

Put a Mall, Amusment park, Casino, restaurants, Hotels, etc. right down on the waterfront. Line up the boat captains and take people out for a day of fishing. Advertise and they will come. Manufacturing/mill jobs are yesterdays news. Tourism and using your natural resources to your advantage never goes out of style. That will create jobs and bring the out of town $$ in. The downtown could be revitalized off of this idea, albeit a difficult one to bring to fruition.

Get rid of the gov't layers and the NFTA. We all know the history. Quit crying a river.

Or B!tch and moan about how it will never fly. Don't try. :P

Except voting and making petitions doesn't work anymore. It's time to have another revolution! Everyone, get your snowblowers and shovels and bury city hall so no one can get out! Then break into the Aud and make that your new goverment building!

I actually think that wasn't such a great move.

My aunt was telling me she brings our cousins to this indoor waterpark somewhere in PA. It's HUGE and they have like 3 hotels in the complex. I guess its packed year round. Buffalo should put THAT at the waterfront.

Niagara Falls Canada already beat us to the punch. Plans for one just north of the falls were just announced in the last week of two.

We on the other hand are too busy paying architects and consultants to study and design things that never get built. I rarely use this smiley, but :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: to anyone who is part of the reason why nothing ever gets done in this city and county.

Actually the previous paragraph does not begin to describe how I feel about the people who are always standing in the way of getting anything done. Let me get this off my chest and I'll feel better....
