mitchmurraydowntown Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Between punts and kickoffs, nothing was easy for the Bears thanks to our ST players. The Bears didn't get any extra yards and were pinned in several times, what a great job the whole unit did. Great punting and coverage just makes me happy, keep up the great work guys !!

mannc Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Serious question: Have the Bills ever had a better placekicker than Carpenter?
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I so enjoyed Marcus Easley's tackle on the first punt, basically driving the guy trying to block him straight backward into the returner just as the ball got there.

Special Teams did great...so true MitchMurray. As for Easley's play...if he pushed his blocker backwards into the receiver before the ball arrived, would that be considered interference with the return man? or would the blocker be to blame for failing to handle his blocking assignment properly? Don't know the answer.

FutureBillsGM Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I thought Colton Schmidt was very impressive.

Don't know the answer. Interference. The Easley hit was perfectly timed and a thing of beauty. I couldn't help from laughing when it happened. A guy sitting next to me asked "what's so funny?" I figured it was going to take to long to explain many fans/bloggers have him on the bubble to make the team every year. So I just shook my head and said, "nothing". I thought Colton Schmidt was very impressive. I'd love to see if he could kick off.
Campy Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Serious question: Have the Bills ever had a better placekicker than Carpenter? Is Carpenter the best? I dunno, but it seems that Buffalo has had really, really good placekickers over the years so I think there'd be a fair amount of competition for that title.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Hey, Danny Crossman here. How bout my special teams unit yesterday stellar huh ? Ya know I was on the board a couple times this summer and let me tell ya, you guys were on me like flies on horsesh!t. Well all I gotta say is bite me. In case you didn't see the game or forgot, you bunch of morons, Carpenter was 3 for 3 on FGs and 2 for two on XPs. Oh did I mention one was from fifty? My new punter Schmidty, that I hand selected, dropped 4 outta 5 inside the 20. All you bozos with the Oh my God CJs gonna get hurt crap only got to return one but he got it out to the 30, which in case you dummies don't know, beats a touchback. Anyone see that @$#^ing hit by Easley, well I taught him that. And umm nobody keeps a kickoff specialist? Yeah, he looked pretty damn good yesterday too. In closing I'd liked to say I should have gotten the game ball after the game F@$K Mary. What'd she do to win the game. I'm so awesome soon you'll all want me in the ring of fame...... What, Wall of Fame? If you'll excuse me, I have to go kill an Intern. Later B!tches. Edited September 9, 2014 by LOVEMESOMEBILLS
