The Big Cat Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I heard Miami's pass rush looks unstoppable--or are there finally some chinks in the Patriots* armor? Moreno put up some huge numbers--are the Patriots* feeling the loss of Spikes and the decline of Wilfork? The game was on one of the adjacent monitors at the Chicago bar, and Tannehill looked equally brilliant and putrid. I'm having a difficult time figuring what sort of opponent we have to look forward to for the home opener. Anyone with some good insight?
Captain Hindsight Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Going to watch it this afternoon on game rewind. I'll report later
26CornerBlitz Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Will check it out later today on Game Rewind.
Max997 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I think it was a little bit of both regarding the pass rush but Cameron Wake is really good, Pats have been on the decline for a few years but Brady keeps them competitive...amazing how little talent they put around him
BringBackFergy Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Tanneyhill threw for 178 yds and 2 TD's, one INT....sounds about even. Our D = their D. Our OLine better by a smidge. Our RB's better by a smidge. Should be a very good game.

Too bad they didn't land this guy because he's damn good!

Our RB's better by a smidge. Should be a very good game. Our O-line is better by way more than a smidge. There's was the worst in football last year. It's a little better this year but still a long way to go

mitchmurraydowntown Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Maybe, but their RB's had a great game yesterday...that says something. It says Mario & Spikes haven't visited with them yet, Tannehill is going to have several sleepless nights coming up.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Watching it now. Ill post observations as I go Miami blocked a punt after forcing a 3 and out to start. Punter dropped the snap. Good pressure to start by Miami. The Pats o line isn't as good as it used to be. Not by a long shot. Marcus Cannon is bad. Nearly got Brady Killed. Tannehill has all day to throw. But like Tannehill does he throws it right to the defender. Intense pressure on Brady. Not sure if its the oline or the D line but its a bit of both I'm sure. Miami just committed their third turnover. Really tried to lose this one. Miami's D looks good but the offense hasn't improved. Seriously Miami is doing the best to lose in the first half. Wallace burned Revis bad then caught the ball out of bounds uncontested in the end zone. Horrible field awareness 20 to 10 at halftime. Wallace with his second drop early in the third. Poor tackling by the Pats*. Morano looks like a good pickup for Miami, Running hard Wake is a great pass rusher. Henderson will have his hands full Lucky break on Wallace TD. Pass was knocked down by Revis but wallace was able to secure it. Tied at 20 now Poor tackling again by the Pats. Miller and Moraneo are running hard but weak arm tackles all over the place by the pats. 23 to 20 Miami D line again getting great pressure on Brady. Nobdy getting open for the Pats. He's got no help. Miami is losing linebackers quickly tho. We will need to check their status for next week\ Miami just had a long drive to seal it. Pats missed at least 10 tackles on that drive. Horrible fundamentals Wake unblockale on the Pats last drive. O line looks rough for the Pats Conclusions: We tackle we win. Morano was breaking tackles and running hard but the Pats wanted nothing to do with him. Shocking to see that from a belicheat coached team. Tannehill tried hard to lose this game. He had several bad throws and should have had a few more INTs. Cameron Wake is really good. Henderson and Glenn will have their hands full. That Pats are going to pay for never giving Brady targets. Brandon Lafell? Kembrell Tompkins? These guys suck and can't get open. How long can they rely on Brady to make them look good. He needs help. Gronkowski is their best weapon and he looks hobbled. Could be a long year in NE if Gronk gets hurt again. The middle of their O line looks like a Colin Brown started for them. Cant believe they let Mankins go for a backup TE. Marcus Cannon nearly got Brady killed 3 times. Very winnable game if they can keep EJ upright. The D should be fine seeing as how they can tackle. Tannehill will throw a few picks, he forced some bad throws yesterday Maybe, but their RB's had a great game yesterday...that says something. Pats didn't tackle. At all
26CornerBlitz Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Miami Dolphins serve notice with beatdown of Patriots: http://www.nfl.com/n...own-of-patriots Everyone handed the AFC East to the New England Patriots before the season began. The Miami Dolphins served notice Sunday that it could be more interesting than that with a 33-20 victory over the Patriots on Sunday. Our takeaways:
Big Turk Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Our O-line is better by way more than a smidge. There's was the worst in football last year. It's a little better this year but still a long way to go They have 5 new starters on the Oline
Doc Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Before we bury the Pats and elevate the Dols, that Miami heat and them running the no-huddle are killers. But the Pats are definitely on the downside.
sodbuster Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It sounds like the Bills and Dolphins are essentially the same team. Should be a good game.
34-78-83 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 They have 5 new starters on the Oline Sure do....
NewEra Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Our O-line is better by way more than a smidge. There's was the worst in football last year. It's a little better this year but still a long way to go Pretty sure last year isn't this year. 5 new starters. They are much better than last year. I think out OLs are about even. The bears run d/Lbs are among the leagues worst Edited September 8, 2014 by NewEra

Hopefully the Fish will be overconfident, and NE will probably play angry.
MyHorseAteTheKid Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I am much more optimistic about the Bills chances against the Dolphins than I was against the Bears...
