eball Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Come on, who's with me? What an ego, dumpster diving for a punter. Get this Saint Doug crony out of here!
YoloinOhio Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 ST was very strong today in all phases. So critical!
CountryCletus Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Speaking of that punter.... Crazy impressed with him!!!
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Betting on the come of a single game rather than body of work.
Big C Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 ST was very strong today in all phases. So critical! Â Very impressed with all the ST units today.
The Big Cat Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Speaking of that punter.... Crazy impressed with him!!! Â Did he take the kickoffs too? Â Schmiddt was terrific punting today. Quite the contrast to what we're used to seeing, Easley was brilliant too.
Nanker Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Betting on the come of a single game rather than body of work. Â I just don't quite know how to respond to that astute analysis.
JoeF Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Marcus Easley is a beast......man really glad they were patient with this kid. His first punt tackle was awesome-- drove the blocker back into the returner...
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I just don't quite know how to respond to that astute analysis. Â It means your going all in after one nice game by the special teams. Yes it was a good game.
Jerry Jabber Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Special Teams was horrendous last year. Today it looked much improved.
CSBill Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) All of as sudden, the Bills Special Teams looks like a strength of this team: If Schmidt keeps doing what he did today = All-Pro; Gay is worth the roster spot, every kick unreturnable (one was run out, but should not have been); Sanborn never misses; And, Chris Carpenter is almost automatic … when he misses, its news. Kelly the Dog Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Schmidt was terrific overall. Â Gay had surprisingly high KO while they were going deep. Usually you don't get both. Â Fred as PR was strange, and he muffed his chance but recovered it. Â CJ looked good on his one return IIRC, getting to almost the 30. Â Easley, as always, just gets it done.
4BillsintheBurgh Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Special Teams was horrendous last year. Today it looked much improved. The new ST coach is really doing a bang up job!
Charles Romes Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Schmidt shout be ST of the week. 4 inside the 20
DirtDart Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 STs was pretty dam good today. Very impressed with the coverage, and punting.
Doc Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Considering Gay was handling just KO's even though the Bills have had a chance to see Schmidt do it, I'll assume that Gay is the best man for the job. If so, he's got a roster spot secured and I'm fine with it. Would like to have seen Schmidt try KO's in the 2nd half though.
NoSaint Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) With the resources we've committed to those units there's no excuse for them not to be ELITE week in and week out. High expectations. Edited September 8, 2014 by NoSaint
