SACKMARINO Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 A display in Rochester, NY at the Eastview Mall GameStop for Madden 2006 - Show's Willis Mcgahee on the cover. I called around other gamestops in other states to see if is just a regionalized type add but no one else had displays yet. Anyone have any info???

Like A Mofo Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 It didnt curse Ray Lewis....so Im not concerned about all this curse talk.
Realist Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 It didnt curse Ray Lewis....so Im not concerned about all this curse talk. 220840 They didn't make the playoffs, did they?
Like A Mofo Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 They didn't make the playoffs, did they? 220842 Take a look at their schedule and youll see why. Pittsburgh twice, at New England, At Indy, At Philly...
drnykterstein Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 It didnt curse Ray Lewis....so Im not concerned about all this curse talk. 220840 Well, it moved to NFL2k4 this year, and Owens got hurt. But Madden bought out NFL2kX and so the curse is back to the world of Madden.

BillsNYC Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Brady was on the cover of Madden 2005 for the weeks leading up to the release, when they switched to Ray Lewis.
/dev/null Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 given what mcgahee's already been thru, i don't think the 'madden curse' would be a big challange to overcome doubt he'll be on the final cover, that was prolly just for demo purposes my guess is peyton, brady, tomlinson, mcnabb, vick, or moss will be on cover
Dan Gross Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I thought, with EA getting exclusive rights, they dumped Madden...?
stevestojan Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I thought, with EA getting exclusive rights, they dumped Madden...? 220883 They may have dumped Madden, as in the name and the man, but they will still make a football game every year.
CosmicBills Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 they didn't dump madden. He is on for 2006. This is the last year of his contract though, but reportedly they are close to resigning him for an additional 5 years. Also, they won't announce the "official" cover until the Draft (at least that is when they usually do it. )
gantrules Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 When is the last time we saw a white boy on the cover? It won't be Peyton or Brady. My guess would be McNabb.

I have this feeling Manning will be on it.

I have this feeling Manning will be on it. 220925 With all heterosexuality in tact, Manning might be the 2nd ugliest man in all of pro sports today (behind only Randy Johnson)... Plus, he's a huge dork, which takes down the cool factor (if you havn't noticed, they never put madden's mug on it in years: since 2000). I mean, recently, you had Vick, Lewis, Faulk, Culpepper, Eddie George. I think McGahee would keep the "cool" image they are going for...
stevestojan Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 When is the last time we saw a white boy on the cover? It won't be Peyton or Brady. 220924 Not including Madden? Never.
gantrules Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Not including Madden? Never. 220934 That's what I thought. Now what would be really cool would be to put Pat Tillman on there.
