Kirby Jackson Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I think that what you saw from Harvin is a lot like what you will see from Watkins. Sammy plays a lot like Harvin but is more physical and a little bigger. That is really exciting to me.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 13. The Bills could have drafted Russell Wilson. And he would have sucked playing for the Bills and we would have run him out of town because that's how we roll.

Let's hope Hackett has similar plays up his sleeve for Watkins!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 You like the Packers' rookie TE? Cool! Seattle dominates the LoS on both offense and defense. Old fashioned football still works. Ask Peyton Manning. Their interior o-linemen just look strong and athletic. I know we brag about having one of the biggest lines in football, but I have to wonder if we are not targeting the right kind of linemen.
billsfan714 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 And he would have sucked playing for the Bills and we would have run him out of town because that's how we roll. Yeah I hated how we ran Kelly out of town. We havent got rid of any QB since who has gone on to great things.

The Big Cat Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If Seattle is the benchmark, then the NFL is flush with 31 poor teams.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) If Seattle is the benchmark, then the NFL is flush with 31 poor teams. It's more than impressive when a team can make Aaron Rodgers look like just an okay QB. More teams are going to attempt to copy the Seahawks' winning formula. Repeat after me. The Bills won this trade! The Bills won this trade!! The Bills won this trade!!! Edited September 5, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz
john Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Seattle played an outstanding game in every phase and looks like the best team out there, by far. However, did any of you really think the Packers were going to win? Until they solve their massive problems along with offensive line, it does not matter how good Rodgers plays. He is a sitting duck back there and will be all season.

26CornerBlitz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If Lynch played like this for the Bills, but he didn't. He wanted out. Pretty hard to blame good players for eschewing OBD given the fourteen year run of ineptitude. Hopefully those days are on the way to being a thing of the past.
Pneumonic Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The thing that I took away from last night's game is that Seattle has a roster stacked with insane talent and a coaching staff that is excellent.
The Big Cat Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The thing that I took away from last night's game is that Seattle has a roster stacked with insane talent and a coaching staff that is excellent. Not a bad plan: pay your quaterback just a couple hundred grand so you can stack your roster.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Not a bad plan: pay your quaterback just a couple hundred grand so you can stack your roster. You know DangerRussWilson is going to get his well earned $$$.
The Big Cat Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 You know DangerRussWilson is going to get his well earned $$$. Eventually. But he's taking up a pittance of cap space NOW.
Pneumonic Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Not a bad plan: pay your quaterback just a couple hundred grand so you can stack your roster. Indeed. They have a very small window before the payments come due and the team is torn apart.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Eventually. But he's taking up a pittance of cap space NOW. Indeed, but in the interim they're taking full advantage of the good fortune of having a 3rd round QB greatly outperform his draft position.
Mr. WEO Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Where were all the penalty flags? My point is we have no patience to let any QB develop. "We"? List all of the Bills QBs "we" "ran out of town" before they "developed"?
The Big Cat Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Indeed, but in the interim they're taking full advantage of the good fortune of having a 3rd round QB greatly outperform his draft position. Yep. ****, in 2012, I would have been a-okay with Wilson in the SECOND round.
Derelichte Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 One thing I noticed from the Seattle defense, on top of their absolute dominance, was that their tackling technique was textbook. This past off-season, they took a page out of the Rugby-for-dummies textbook and instilled it in their defense. This technique helps to cut back on injuries and also penalties. In the game of rugby, players are required to wrap up their tackles, and are penalized for leading or charging with their shoulder. Pretty interesting read. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/aug/02/seattle-seahawks-coach-pete-carroll-tackles-safety-rugby
