T master Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) If we look back on some NFL history what is one common mistake that is made when the "Experts" look at a in coming player & TRY to make a correct judgement on what kind of player they are going to be ? One of the biggest misconceptions is that a small guy isn't going to be good enough because of his size but if you look back at some players that were small in stature we can see that their size had nothing to do with their heart ... Zac Thomas - 5' 11" Sonny Jurgensen - 5' 11" London Fletcher - 5' 10" Doug Flutie - 5' 10" Kenneth Davis - 5' 10" Wes Welker - 5'9" Emmit Smith - 5' 9" Barry Sanders - 5' 9" What i'm getting at is i think the experts when it comes to making the biggest in figuring what a guy is going to be in the NFL is their height !! Here the biggest Bills mistake in recent history because of a players height & the EXPERTS opinion . http://insider.espn....und/3/year/2012 Pick # 6 & 12 And who ever did this should be ban from the Bills for ever !! ko12010 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 So you're watching the Seattle/Green Bay game, saw Russell Wilson throw a couple good passes, and then thought you needed to start a thread rehashing this subject. Nice.
LB3 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Give him a break guys. He could be on to something very new and very astute here...
YoloinOhio Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Again?! Time to move on. For real, this time.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Holy #@%*, we didn't draft Russell Wilson? Next you'll bring up not drafting Brady. It's in the past, nothing can ever be done about it. It's been brought up umpteen times.
The Wiz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Put Wilson behind our line and Manuel behind there's.
thebandit27 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Put Wilson behind our line and Manuel behind there's. Seattle had one of the worst OLs in the NFL last year.
stinky finger Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Umpteen times? More than that. Btw, we missed on Mugsy Bogues too.....that little bastage was what, 5'3"?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Put Wilson behind our line and Manuel behind there's. Look another EJ apologist. Watch out the "realist" are going to get you. Seattle had one of the worst OLs in the NFL last year. I know what your saying, but between the play calling, and the OL, GB's DL is getting dominated.
Special K Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Put Wilson behind our line and Manuel behind there's. I'd rather switch OC's with Seattle instead.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I'd rather switch OC's with Seattle instead. He's called a very good game so for.
Augie Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Umpteen times? More than that. Btw, we missed on Mugsy Bogues too.....that little bastage was what, 5'3"? Oh, but he could ball! Hard to imagine...
The Wiz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Seattle had one of the worst OLs in the NFL last year. Started at 27 and ended up at 9 throughout the season. Curious were the bills started and finished?
PlayoffsPlease Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 One bad decision led to several more bad decisions. Trading Lynch meant we used a #1 on Spiller. If we hadn't we could have taken Dez Bryant. If we had Dez Bryant we wouldn't have needed TJ Graham, and we could have picked up Wilson in that round to be mentored by Ryan Fitzpatrick.

You say that like dez and Wilson were obviously #2 on our boards
The Wiz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 This thread should find its way traced back to maybin somehow. Call it "7 off seasons of Aaron Maybin". Kevin bacon reference.
YoloinOhio Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) You say that like dez and Wilson were obviously #2 on our boards its just that easy, right? 3-4 years later, sitting at one's computer. Esp. On the lynch point. Edited September 5, 2014 by YoloinOhio
Thunderstealer Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 So you're watching the Seattle/Green Bay game, saw Russell Wilson throw a couple good passes, and then thought you needed to start a thread rehashing this subject. Nice. A couple good passes? He's a phenom. He makes the right decision every time. IT HURTS like hell that buddy had his head up his ass. Now we got a guy who looks like he needs to go pee every play.

Instead of drafting Dez. we coulda drafted Gronk or we coulda drafted Jason Pierre-Paul and not had to pay Mario, or we coulda drafted Jerry Hughes and not had to trade for him, or we coulda drafted T J Ward and we wouldn't miss Byrd so much(no I'm not saying he's as good), or we coulda drafted Brandon Spikes and he would have been here his whole career, or we coulda drafted Jimmy Graham, or Mike Williams(See Spikes), or John Skelton(threw that one in for BB), or ohh forgot Earl Thomas we really wouldn't miss Byrd then, or Tim Tebow and Jimmy Claus..... ummm never mind
