MississippiBillsFan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 What say you fellow Bills fans...At this point in his career. Whats your true evaluation of Gilmore..
LB3 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 B. Played pretty well his first year. Did not play well early last season with the club. Played much better towards the end of the year. We'll see how much the stricter enforcement affects his game this year.
seq004 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Grade C .....gets beat to much to be considered a shut down corner. I notice he gets caught not looking back for the ball.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Incomplete. As all DBs aspire to. Edited September 2, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz
Buffaloed in Pa Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 B. Lets see how he does now having to cover longer in this D.
FireChan Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 B- in terms of what he's done. D+ in terms of living up to his draft pick.
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 C+ Was hoping for better, but could be worse. Where he was drafted I had hoped for more from Gilmore, like a shut down corner. There's still time though and I think he has both the mental and physical capacity to be what I had hoped he'd be.
Billsguy Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Incomplete to B- Too early to tell, but has been inconsistent.
snafu Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 So far, a B. But it does not matter until we see how he is able to adjust his game to the new "no touch" rules. That's what worries me most about this coming Sunday vs. the Bears.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) So far, a B. But it does not matter until we see how he is able to adjust his game to the new "no touch" rules. That's what worries me most about this coming Sunday vs. the Bears. Agree 100%. I could see Gilmore drawing 3-4 flags in this game and losing his cool. He's extremely, shall we say, "handsy." Hplarrm Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Given his injury last year I think its hard to give him anything other than an incomplete.
thebandit27 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I will give him a B-, as he started out really rough as a rookie, but was excellent in the last half of his rookie year. Last year was much the same, as he was pretty brutal when he first came back, but was much better in the final 5 games or so. I'd like to see him start faster this year.
MississippiBillsFan Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Should be interesting when it comes time to work his contract..
GG Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 C+ to date, but he was hampered by the broken arm last year and wasn't fully healed in camp. Expect much improvement this year.
eball Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Agree 100%. I could see Gilmore drawing 3-4 flags in this game and losing his cool. He's extremely, shall we say, "handsy." Maybe his nickname should be Imran Khan.
BillsFan17 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 What's incredible is when the guy has been on the field he tends to shut people down. You drafted a big physical kid whom started all four years in the SEC and you are surprised he draws flags for aggressive play? Gilmore gets a "B" from me because of the body of work isn't all there with the injury than having to play with a club. However, as stated above, when healthy the kid is a gamer no two ways about it.
The Voice of Truth Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 C- A cornerback drafted in the top 10 should be considered nearly a shut down corner. He has been nowhere near that.
