r00tabaga Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Updated Depth Chart (8/30) has Henderson backing up Glenn at LT and Cyrus backing up Pears at RT. I thought Pears was kicking inside, replacing the Urb'. This can't be right, right???
NoSaint Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Sounds like they are leaving everyone at their natural spots after the experiments
FluffHead Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Classic diversion. Classic Bills move But seriously, the intern just messed it up Marrone said pears is the RG and that is he move that ignites the Seantrel to RT thingamabobber Edited August 30, 2014 by FluffHead
NoSaint Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Classic diversion. Classic Bills move Game 3 of the preseason - lets swap 3 guys out of position and run no plays from the play book
r00tabaga Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 I hope it was a mistake, I really like Seantrel & Cordy as monster bookends w/Wood making the calls.
Nanker Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 pears should be cut too IMO Well, don't leave us hanging. Where do you want to cut him? The finger, hand, arm, leg, face, torso, foot? You want to cut him... say where!

You're better than that. Horrible dad joke, horrible. However, dropping Henderson out of the starting 5 contradicts what Marrone has been saying throughout camp regarding the best 5 starting. Henderson is quite obviously top 5 (probably top 3 as it stands) amongst the OL on the roster.

I happen to think the intern who is assigned that task just didn't change it from the last time they updated the roster and depth chart, although it's possible they scrapped the Pears at OG experiment. I doubt it though. Marrone said before the last game that he likes the lineup and he likes Pears at OG and barring injury this is the way they were going into the season. The starters only played three series or so. I also think it this were the case, that jw or Graham or one of the Bills reporters would be talking about it. Edited August 30, 2014 by Kelly the Dog
r00tabaga Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 buffalobills.com put Orton as backup QB and all the 53 including Gay and Schmidt. Doesn't sound like a cut & paste.
thewildrabbit Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 It should be Pears at RG. But for how long it remains to be seen. At least the Bills rid themselves of Legursky, and kept Urbik as backup center. Still...

r00tabaga Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) @Kelly: That sounds about right, I'm sure it'll change. One things for sure.....I CANT WAIT FOR DA BEARS!!!!!! #hopelesslyoptimistic Edited August 30, 2014 by r00tabaga
Kelly the Dog Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 FWIW, the Bills site's roster lists Jacquies Smith as a LB when he is playing DE, and Colton Schmidt as a K even though he is mostly a P, which leads me to believe that intern may have a drinking problem.

Schmidt can kick too....not just a punter.
Sumin Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 This is all a ploy by the Bills.. By listing Urbik as a starter they will get better trade value. Now instead of a 7th round pick, the Raiders will send over a 3rd. Give that intern a raise!
Deranged Rhino Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Mr. Pears, we shall dance for one more season it seems. Guard or tackle, you cannot run from my scathing internet remarks.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Schmidt can kick too....not just a punter. Hence why I said "Mostly a punter." He is a punter who can kick though, not a kicker who can punt. Hard to imagine they will keep Gay to punt and Schmidt to KO but it's possible.
