26CornerBlitz Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Didn't he get benched for Tebow in Denver Errrr, Yep. He's a backup.
dave mcbride Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 You've been gone a while. This guy is the only poster I despise. He got hammered and faked getting better for a while. This is the real person. ???
Rubes Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Do you say that because you are happy with our QB situation or because you think there is a better alternative out there? I say that because we are now in a position to "hope" for someone as thoroughly below average as Orton to come in a week before the season starts to learn the playbook and be our dependable #2 QB.
BuffaloFan68 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm not a fan of Orton at all - would much rather consider Grossman
The Dean Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Errrr, Yep. He's a backup. Definitely backup, but with gameday experience. IMO a better NFL QB than Tebow, actually, who is no longer a backup. I think it's about done for Orton and think he's all but retired. I'm not against picking him up, but I believe we can do better. I'm not a fan of Orton at all - would much rather consider Grossman Currently employed. (But perhaps not for long.)
filthymcnasty08 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Disgusting to me that it took until now for management to realize this. Absolutely disgusting. We could have gotten the veteran QB in the offseason and not have to feed him our offense inside of a week.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I'd rather have Terrelle Pryor as a backup and long term grooming project than Jeff Tuel. We need to retuel!
Buffalo Barbarian Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 @HardyNFL: #Bills looking to sign a veteran backup QB, per @caplannfl. Looking at Kyle Orton. David Garrard hasn't been mentioned. Interesting. This is their best chance if they want to win now.
The Dean Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 This is their best chance if they want to win now. No veteran signed now will be starting. At least not for a few weeks, and only if EJ fails miserably or gets injured. This is EJs team.

FluffHead Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Just came down... One year deal Edited August 30, 2014 by FluffHead
Big C Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Wow. Impressive. I'm still a little confused. I thought he wanted to retire. He just did not want to be a Cowboy?
Kelly the Dog Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Decent backup. Way better idea than Palmer or Tuel. Better than Thad. I still say sign Pryor as the #3. Cut Tuel and put him on the PS if you must.
PolishDave Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Just came down... One year deal Are you for real or did you just make that up?
bills-fan in arizona Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm hoping they continue shopping for a 3rd if a decent prospect is cut.
