Delusional Bills Optimist Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Dennis Allen thinks the Raiders have three potential starters at QB in Carr, Schaub and McGloin. He says, "we'll have to see where Matt is on Monday." Anyone interested in kicking the tires on this one? Schaub's play has slid a bit in the past few seasons, but is he worse than Ponder? Maybe he could be pried lose for a reserve-type player or one of our two 5th rounders next year. Just positing yet another QB scenario to distract me from my Cohen-fueled melancholy and TJ-fueled frustration.
The Wiz Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 If he gets cut I have no problem taking him. Wouldn't trade for him though.
dayman Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 4 pick-sixes in a row and I have to admit, I would be happy if we grabbed him. Last year was a meltdown for Shaub but we're desperate. Also, Rex Grossman. If we somehow grabbed either of them I would want either to start asap to avoid wasting the season.
KollegeStudnet Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 It's funny how the Texans trade in for one Captain Pick-6 for another Captain Pick-6 Ryan Fitzgerald
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I haven't seen a thread about him yet.... So sure. Why not?
Rubes Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Too bad Al Davis isn't still around running the show for the Raiders. I bet he'd jump at a chance to trade Schaub for a speedster like TJ.
NoSaint Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 His arm is shot. But better than Tuel. he still was 61%+ last year for 230 yards a game while going in and out of the lineup. i think you could do worse than schaub. lift 3-4 throws out of last year and he wasnt terrible

In any case I never liked his game and have no interest in him. If he can't beat out a slightly unheralded rookie and mcgloin, that says it all Edited August 29, 2014 by Joe_the_6_pack
