Looks like he might not make it. He has looked pretty good in the PS, but the Rams DE depth is too much. We need some depth pass rushers behind Mario and Hughes.

Interesting RT @MikeSilver: I do not expect Michael Sam to end up on the Rams' 53-man roster. But could absolutely end up on some team's 53

IMO - this team could actually use a distraction.

I don't think our DL has a lot of room for him, but I think there is room for him on an NFL roster somewhere. Maybe Cleveland can sign him just to keep him from kicking Johnny Football's ass.

He would work here. I'd like him here as a project and maybe just PS player.

NY might be his best fit, Carolina could use someone to bring some heat, Atlanta needs speed and Indy would suit his strengths. The Browns have Pettine so that might work, too.

But, honestly there is only one reason we know about him and one reason we have seen any of his highlights this preseason. That saddens me. Just let him be a football player.

He has looked much better than I expected based on his scouting reports during the draft. I agree the media coverage of him for his personal life is stupid.

It really is. Someone from the rams tweeted that everyone was over it but the media

He reminds me of Aaron Maybin in preseason. Good at being a one trick speed rusher vs second teamers. Pretty useless in real games.

perhaps selevtive memory, but i remember maybin being pancaked by a backup RB in preseason. he was good in those games?

No, unless he can throw a football or play guard!

its true, we can only address 2 positions at a time.

i havent seen his preseason and due to that obviously wont say pro or con to him -- but really? only qbs and ogs can be signed now?

And kickoff specialists! Because we will have one kickoff per game to worry about!

Is he better than Wynn or Lawson? If so, I would have no problem with Michael Sam on this team. He did look pretty good rushing the passer in the PS. He gave Mitchell Schwartz all he could handle in the Browns game.

No. Setting all of the media drama aside, more depth at pass rusher is not what the Bills need. They're plenty deep already, and Sam would be so far down the depth chart that he would be virtually irrelevant. Has he made a couple good plays in the preseason? Sure, but absolutely nothing to distinguish himself as being superior to the talent that we already have. It would be a waste of a roster spot.

If we drafted a guy (as opposed to an undrafted FA) and he had 3 sacks in the preseason, I would expect him to make our football team. Why is he not expected to make it over that undrafted FA dude?

Only if we can also sign Tebow to even out the media BS.

Tim Tebow literally believes that Michael Sam is going to a place after he dies with fiery pits and flames for all of eternity because of the way he was born, even if everything else he does in life is morally just and he is an otherwise great man. That's kinda crazy huh? Like he actually believes that.

Would you rather have Sam or Lawson?

If he gets cut by the Rams, I suspect that he's going to have options. Going to a team that is already set at the position he plays, but not strong enough at other positions to actually win games and be relevant is probably not going to be at the top of his list.

First I doubt he gets cut...

Second, if he does get cut, no... B-)

Unless he can punt...Can he punt? ;)

No seriously...Can he punt?
