jahnyc Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Considering all of the possible scenarios that could have played out, this would be an amazing result for all fans of the Bills and the City of Buffalo (and surrounding area).
A Dog Named Kelso Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Didn't I just say it should be by then end of the night? Ha!
The Dean Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Can we get some predictions on a number? I predict an NFL record. Maybe $1.3 Bill or more. Pegs to make a statement here.
Stads Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think they should let the Pegula family rock the owner's box on Sunday.
first_and_ten Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 If Pegs gets the team I'm dropping the "No" from my handle. Drop the "No" bro...It's about to happen. This is awesome
The Dean Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think they should let the Pegula family rock the owner's box on Sunday. Last minute air fares can be a bit pricey, you know.
Justice Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Here's Pegs to other bidders. http://youtu.be/9KJM82VWH8g
Stads Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Last minute air fares can be a bit pricey, you know. He may have to drill a gas well or two.
sodbuster Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Last minute air fares can be a bit pricey, you know. Terry is cheap?
Justice Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I gotta say this is the greatest day in sports for me. All the Super Bowls, division titles, Heat championships etc etc pale in comparison.
The Dean Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Nothing new here, but in the spirit of completeness: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/08/report-bills-sale-moving-fast-in-favor-of-sabres-owner-terry-pegula/ Edited September 9, 2014 by The Dean
FluffHead Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Nothing new here, but in the spirit of completeness: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ I think this is the link @ProFootballTalk: Report: Bills sale moving fast in favor of Sabres owner Terry Pegula http://t.co/ib42QiIdRq
ChevyVanMiller Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) You know, for years we feared that a cash-flush, deep-pocketed, free-spender would come in and swoop up the team and move it to big bad LA or Toronto. It's amazing that in the end the rich cat is one of our own and that he was completely unknown in these parts just a few short years ago. It's pretty surreal, and it's maybe the truest harbinger of great things to come for the ever reviving God's Country known as WNY. Edited September 9, 2014 by ChevyVanMiller
FluffHead Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 @JoeBuscaglia: ESPN just touching on the #Bills sale now during halftime. A solid 15-second mention.
The Dean Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I think this is the link @ProFootballTalk: Report: Bills sale moving fast in favor of Sabres owner Terry Pegula http://t.co/ib42QiIdRq Yes, thanks.I will correct that in my post.
jimmy10 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 True, though I was kind of also referring to the fear and uncertainty of the last few years, not knowing if/when Ralph might pass and not having any real clue what might happen then... "Last few years?" Man, this sh*t has been slowly eating away at me for at least 10 years.
first_and_ten Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I gotta say this is the greatest day in sports for me. All the Super Bowls, division titles, Heat championships etc etc pale in comparison. It just might be. How far behind can the Superbowl be? Having an owner who cares about winning over profis doesn't guarantee a championship but it sure makes it more of a real possibility
Gugny Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 @JoeBuscaglia: ESPN just touching on the #Bills sale now during halftime. A solid 15-second mention. Let's be honest. It's the Bills.
bbb Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 "Last few years?" Man, this sh*t has been slowly eating away at me for at least 10 years. It's been the Sword of Damocles for my whole life, and I'm 52. In the early 70s, Ralph kept threatening to move to Seattle. Terry Pegula is trending on twitter
