RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Actually, $300 million is 30% of $1 billion; it's 33.3% of $900 million.
jahbonas Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Its all about wanting to know indeed the assurances RW put in place to make sure us million WNY fans could keep our team. If shown he did via instructions to the Trust then we treat his name and memory very very well. If its shown no real provision put in place other than the lease and Thank God Pegula was highest bidder - then I think the treatment of RW name and memory is very different. I do believe in the end Pegula will get the team - but its v important to me to see how much RW cared about this community in assurances he may have taken to make sure it stayed. If it was virtually put up to highest bidder who could tolerate the remaining years on the lease - thats a nothing of an assurance had this transaction occurred just a few yrs later.
jeanbe Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 The bid deadline has past !! All bids must be in, of course that's until the trust agrees to accept a late bid I just hope Pegula's fax machine didn't jam.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Could you please change your name to Jabroni? I kid. I kid. Not really.
jahbonas Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 You don't want to believe it despite being told numerous times by some people in the know. The team will be in WNY. In your assurances that the team stays local. Do you consider the JBJ group with Toronto just as likely to keep the team local as Pegula buying the team? Maybe because a JBJ group signs an agreement of some kind?
texasabres Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Looks like Only 3 Bidders: https://sports.yahoo.com/news/ap-sources-3-groups-submit-215618004--nfl.html
TSOL Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 John Bon Jovi.... Which in German means a whales vagina
Kelly the Dog Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Looks like Only 3 Bidders: https://sports.yahoo...18004--nfl.html That article did not say that. It said there are at least three, and it is not known if there are others.
BRAWNDO Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I just hope Pegula's fax machine didn't jam. The Pegula's First Purchase in Feb 2011 was a new fax machine for the FNC Offices
26CornerBlitz Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Looks like Only 3 Bidders: https://sports.yahoo...18004--nfl.html Four people familiar with discussions have told The Associated Press that at least three groups - including Buffalo Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula - have submitted formal bids to buy the Buffalo Bills. The article from Wawrow states at least three. That means there could be more.
jahbonas Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 That article did not say that. It said there are at least three, and it is not known if there are others. Thank you - you pay nice attention to detail
The Dean Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Actually, $300 million is 30% of $1 billion; it's 33.3% of $900 million. D'Oh! Of course I know that. Of course.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 The article from Wawrow states at least three. That means there could be more. THIS JUST IN!! Earlier reports of mystery buyers were complete BS. Film at 11.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 THIS JUST IN!! Earlier reports of mystery buyers were complete BS. Film at 11. We don't know if they are complete BS or not.
Jerry Jabber Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 There is zero proof this is in place at all - only thing anyone knows is the lease thats public. And exactly what degree of proof must a buyer offer the trust to allow them to walk away with the most money and claim its safe that the group wont ever move the team?? Pegula and his local ties we know will not move the team ever - its v v v irksome that anyone with no real local ties is able to possibly win the bid. If there's no proof of what's in the NDA, then answer this, why did Morgan Stanley reject JBJ's first bid, then told them to talk to Jim Kelly to make his bid more "Bills Friendly?"
What a Tuel Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Is it just me or is it too convienent the the bids are due Monday before the home opener? Hoping for outstanding news this week
The Wiz Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 D'Oh! Of course I know that. Of course. It's hard to math in the NFL.
Jerry Jabber Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Sorry, and I'm probably wrong but isn't $300 million 30 % of $1 Billion even? I'm just going by what John Kryk and John Wawrow have been saying all along.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 @ByTimGraham Bids are in: Bills sale process could wrap up this week http://bills.buffalo...-week/ …
