Jerry Jabber Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Mike Rodak @mikerodak 1h Marrone was clearly upset about something. Had some choice language reporters could hear from sideline. Whaley threw up arms in response. Mike Rodak @mikerodak 1h Marrone, Whaley, and Brandon having an animated conversation as Palmer, Manuel, Tuel warm up. I'm wondering why these two are very upset at each other?

C.Biscuit97 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Oh boy! Let's make up stories about a conversation. They are discussing Bachelor in Paradise and they totally disagree on the ashley situation.
FireChan Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Whaley was the passenger in Alan Branch's car that fateful evening.
Tyrod's Tailor Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 it takes a lot of mental gymnastics to assume that everything is fine with this team.
K D Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Whaley was the passenger in Alan Branch's car that fateful evening. True story? That would be interesting
Jerry Jabber Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Considering how bad the Bills stunk up the place on Saturday, I'm sure Whaley is fuming at how bad they were.
BigBuff423 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 It's been reported EJ was Buddy's pick, his sort of swan song in that he wanted to get the BILLS a QB before he stepped down...I'm wondering now if Whaley truly feels saddled with this guy and essentially went all in on EJ hoping to manufacture confidence in the kid so he would perform better and now, feeling like the house of cards is falling down, he's panicking a bit and knows that EJ will make or break this season for the entire team...just a thought

At all. It was pretty clear during HC interviews in late 2012/early 2013 that Nix was being pushed aside and the transition had began given Nix's comments about Marrone. No way would any pro organization allow the outgoing GM to pick the player who would most affect the future GM's performance.

Buddy picking EJ would be nonsense. Whaley was the passenger in Alan Branch's car that fateful evening. True story? mountainwampus Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Perhaps Doug is less than thrilled about the QB situation. Swapping Thad for Palmer doesn't help in the short term whatsoever. All these guys have is short term. They are all going to be unemployed in 3 months.
bmur66 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Buddy himself said he wasn't leaving until he got the Bills their QB. Look it up.
Buftex Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Perhaps Marrone wasn't happy with Lewis getting cut?

I don't believe EJ was Buddy's pick. At all. It was pretty clear during HC interviews in late 2012/early 2013 that Nix was being pushed aside and the transition had began given Nix's comments about Marrone. 26CornerBlitz Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Perhaps Marrone wasn't happy with Lewis getting cut? I doubt this is the case given his recent commentary on the performance of the backup QBs.
Doc Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I doubt this is the case given his recent commentary on the performance of the backup QBs. Maybe he wanted Tuel gone instead of Lewis?
Estelle Getty Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 This is all starting to sound a little to similar to the year Jauron got fired midway through.
Big Blitz Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 If Whaley didn't agree with the pick or at least have confidence EJ was the guy he would have done something about it this off season. Like draft one, sign one. Not buying it was Nix's pick alone. No way. Whaley had to agree.
