I think I fared pretty well. This year, I waited until the 9th round to draft a QB. Was amazed that Orange Julius was there in the late 3rd. Thoughts?

Had my first draft last night, picked 10th in a 12 man team but managed to work a trade for the #2 overall pick (without giving up my first rounder). It's a PPR league, highly competitive without a flex:

QB

Luck

RB

Charles

G. Bernard

FredEx

Woodhead

Ingram

WR

D. Thomas

V. Jackson

S. Watkins

R. Randle

J. Matthews

M. Wheaton

TE

Gronk

D

Bills

How did you pick late 3rd; reverse snake?

I think Rivers is fine if you're going to wait on qb.

Like the RB's a lot. Hyde (who the Bills apparently wanted?) is massive upside.

I sorta hate Patterson & Benjamin tbh given how many proven guys are drafted around them. WR's are largely a matter of personal preference I guess though (I like Greggy's Randle/Mathews/Wheaton depth trio a lot).

9ers D I would avoid like the plague - they're always picked 2nd and won't finish top 5.

I actually picked Julius early 3rd round. My mistake. I actually traded away Jordy Nelson for Doug Martin. Thought I was pretty well loaded at WR, and needed another workhorse RB. I think Patterson is going to have a monster year under Norv Turner. Benjamin is going to be a TD machine, IMO. Then Decker and Cooks (my pick for OROY) to round out my WR's. The big 4 QB's were all off the board before I picked in the late 2nd, so I decided to hold out...targeting Rivers (9th round).

Last year, being thin at RB killed me. Didn't want to make the same mistake .

I think this roster is decent. I feel like it's missing a #1 WR and a #1 QB. Rivers and Ben should be decent, but that combo should have let you grab a better WR #1. I don't think there's much difference between Doug Martin, and say, Alfred Morris, Toby Gerhart, Rashad Jennings this year. But there is a huge difference between Victor Cruz and Jordy Nelson. I probably wouldn't have made the trade you did.

I don't love MJD as a #3, but he should be OK. Sankey as a #4 is great but there's questions about his role at this point.

I like Patterson, Cooks, Benjamin a lot. Just feel like you're missing a really good #1 WR there.

Julius Thomas is great at TE, obviously.

I'd say this is pretty damn good. I don't love Sammy as a #3, or Ruben Randle as a #4, so I think you have some work to do on the waiver wire here. You'll might need a replacement for Gronk for week 1 too. I would have also liked someone a little better than FredEx as your #3 but I think he'll be decent. Overall, pretty good team.

I'm a bit scared of RG3 right now, I hope you have a solid backup plan if he doesn't work out. I'm in one league where I'm super worried about him. I'm also scared of Foster, and Bush has some question marks, but I do like him. I wouldn't doubt at all if Bush ends up being RB2. I'd probably have passed on Foster and grabbed another high end WR, but I get why you selected him.

Jordy is a good pick in the 3rd, and Cordarrelle could be a really good WR, although I like him better as a WR3. Ben Tate is a great RB4, and I really like Brian Hartline as a WR5. I actually dislike the Ruben Randle pick the most out of all of those.

Kyle Rudolph is my favorite TE target this year. I've been trying to get him in every draft. I think he's in for a huge year.

Keep an eye on Henery, rumor is they're going to replace him with a free agent kicker because he's been horrible in camp. Don't let that catch you off guard.

Overall pretty solid team. I actually think it could have been a little stronger if you replaced Foster with another top WR (you'd still have Bush / Tate as RB2/RB3), but I like it a lot. Keep an eye out for a backup plan for RG3.
