tbonehawaii Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Along with the other stadium renovations is that a new product that is on the field? I ask because it seems like both teams were falling all over the place so unless let someone put vodka in the Gatorade buckets, I'm wondering if they need to replace the surface or replace their shoes.
bigdogtim Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Didn't you listen to roger goodell??? They need a whole new stadium to remain viable. I think it's a plot. Where is Oliver stone when we need him?
FluffHead Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 The turf did look extra new and shiny. I noticed the slips and they mentioned it on the broadcast as well
CJallDAY Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 it is new turf I have some of the turf from last year as a carpet on my porch.. no joke
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 It's puzzling to me how guys can slip on turf, while wearing cleats. Maybe they just move so much faster than me, but I can hardly ever recalling slipping while wearing cleats, on any surface.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 When turf is brand new, like a lot of other floor materials, it's often very slippery at first until it is worn in. It looked like new turf but I hadn't read that they were replacing the turf they just put in three years ago. But it sure looked like it, with the renovations it makes sense, and guys were slipping. For all we know, they just put a coat of Polyurethane, Varnish or Shellac on the old turf to make it look new, like they tried with the stadium.
