26CornerBlitz Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) @Edwerderespn Sam Bradford torn ACL. #Rams season jeopardized by devastating injury to QB in game that otherwise almost didn't matter. #NFLPreseason @mortreport Rams QB Sam Bradford is out for season after MRI shows he did tear left knee ACL, per sources. Rams will announce later today. @ESPNNFL Edited August 24, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz
Bangarang Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) I'd have to imagine the Rams are going to cut their losses with this kid and dump him after the season. They won't take much of a hit on their salary cap and Bradford has already suffered some major injuries that he may never fully recover from. Poor guy never got a fair shake in St. Louis with never really having any weapons on offense to work with. Rams are now in a position to bottom out and draft the next great QB at the top of next year's draft. Edited August 24, 2014 by Bangarang
Best Player Available Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 On the right team he may have been a force.
JTO Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 It would behoove the Bills to make a QB move sooner rather than later. That's if they are willing to make a move.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 @JasonPhilCole #Rams do want Sanchez, prob won't get him. Thinking about Mallett, really need a solid backup to Hill.
Billshank Redemption Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 could see the bills going after bradford next year if he gets cut.
PlayoffsPlease Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 This is another reason its makes sense to use more than one draft pick on a QB every 6 or 7 years. Now teams like the Pats or Eagles stand to get a return on their QB investment in a trade with the Rams.
White Linen Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I hate it for the young man. He's one that I thought eventually would do well and have a nice career. Unfortunately it never really got started. I'd take him in a minute if he gets cut.
FLFan Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 On the right team he may have been a force. Maybe, but he has not been healthy a full season yet. It sucks for him, but he is a bit of a china doll.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Sam Bradford out for season with torn ACL: http://www.nfl.com/n...n-with-torn-acl It's devastating news for the Rams and Bradford. While the fifth-year starter has been wholly inconsistent over his 49 starts, the team has outwardly backed Bradford as their long-term answer under center. Entering the final year of his deal, Bradford's future in St. Louis is now wrapped in doubt. Imagine that! Five years of patience with a QB.
Reed83HOF Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Peter King @SI_PeterKing 1m Even if Phil would consider, Eagles'd want a lot for Sanchez, who's had a great preseason. I don't see the Rams giving a 2 or 3 for Sanchez.

1billsfan Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 @JasonPhilCole #Rams do want Sanchez, prob won't get him. Thinking about Mallett, really need a solid backup to Hill. They might as well do what the Colts did a few years ago and suck for the top pick in 2015. Sanchez will win enough games that they'd put probably put themselves out of position. Either that or (ironically enough) ask what I'd take to get RGIII...LOL
Reed83HOF Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Price too high. Way too high. Almost like trading up to #5 to take him in the first place
Kelly the Dog Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 The problem with Sanchez is not that he can't throw with a lot of time and guys open in preseason. The problem is he panics and is terrible with the ball when the real games start and real bullets are flying.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) @NFL_ATL Rams have some interest in Mark Sanchez http://www.nfl.com/n...er_atl … Rams fans don't want to hear it, but the team is likely better off bottoming out and then finally drafting their next quarterback of the future near the top of the 2015 draft. RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 All of you saying the Rams can now suck for the first pick overall may want to consider that Bradford, the China Doll, the bust, the this the that was the first pick overall. No guarantees in this league. Ever.
QCity Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Going to be very interesting to see who they go after.
T master Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Man that dude can't buy a break !
