The Bills, Jets, and Dolphins all have not been good for a long while, and have not had a good QB or good coach or good front office in a long while (with the minor exception of Rex Ryan, who is a blowhard but decent coach). If it happens it will be an impressive feat. Not quite as impressive as winning four consecutive Conference Championships--which has happened exactly once. The Patriots' AFCE win streak has been helped by the 2002 realignment, which dropped divisions from 5 or 6 to 4, and took the Colts out of our division. Edit: Forgive an old man's memory: Until 1976, AFC and NFC East had 5 each; Centrals and Wests had 4 each. After Tampa and Seattle entered the league in 1976, they evenyually settled into the NFC Central and AFC West, respectively.
