From a panel of NFL "insiders"

25. RB Willis McGahee

"An incredible season for a player whose strength was supposed to be speed. If he gets a step (back), who is better?"

37. CB Nate Clements

"Prototype cornerback finally seems comfortable in man coverage. Extremely competitive and versatile playmaker with toughness. He was very consistent all season. There wasn't one cornerback who didn't get beat, but Clements kept the damage minimal."

Honorable mention

Sam Adams, TKO

Pretty on the mark. I would have thrown Lee Evans into the honorable mentions.

I think we have only seen a fraction of what these two guys are capable of. :)

I think the Jax game proved to be a learning experience for Clements which painfully taught him the lesson to do what is necessary to win, nothing less certainly and if doing more is about style points fuggadabouit also.

Muhammad over Harrison and Moss??

I'd agree with that, Muhammed had a monster year with the Panthers.

Even with all those injuries to other starters & everyone keying on him,

he couldn't be stopped.

There's no doubt that he is a stud and had a monster year. But you really think he is better than Moss and Harrison overall? They are arguably the top 2 WRs in the game (or top 3).

What Muhammad did this year is the norm for those two.

Overall, no. This year, yes... and that's what the "experts" were evaluating.

Oh sh--. I didn't even realize it was an evaluation for just this year. I agree.

well, when moss is #45 on this list, and champ bailey is not even on it (and those are just the two largest mistakes).... well I can only draw one conclusion, this list was based on player statistics, and the makers of the list never actually watched any football.

and thus this list loses all credibility and is just another waste of everyone's time.
