I know it's a minor thing...But I really like this...for whatever reason... I would not mind seeing it get to 12 eventually...
Best Player Available Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 perfect the Bills should stash 5 QB's.
vincec Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Practice squads are a joke, IMO. They're just a way for NFL teams to keep some extra bodies around during the regular season to beat up on for cheap and protect their actual players.

Injuries destroy season for NFL teams...There's an absolute TON of cash invested in keeping the product exciting and consistent...Extra bodies on teams with any sense will certainly not be out there just to get beat up (at least not all of them)...Some are one torn something away from lining up on Special Teams Sunday at 1 PM...It's a minor thing overall...But I think the better teams will use what they are given to have any advantage... So have a number of other really good players across the NFL.
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Good rule. It's a shame a minor league football league can't work. There are always those late bloomers who just need a chance.
ALF Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 It would help the Bills more if they would increase the 53 man roster.
LabattBlue Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Good rule. It's a shame a minor league football league can't work. There are always those late bloomers who just need a chance. It could work. IF the owners were willing to subsidize a minor league during the spring, it could "work". It is never going to be a profitable venture, so IMO, this would be the only way to make a go of it. Of course for many of the owners, cutting into their current profits for something that may not help their bottom line, the answer would be NO WAY.

I think that was the purpose of the NFL Europe, a place to keep talent and grow it like a farm system. Teams had players that were assigned to NFL teams, but in the league for seasoning.
