MDH
Famous last words of every Bills fan. "Anybody would be better than (insert QB name here)!!!" That is until "anybody" is starting and they are a lot worse. You're not seriously going to say that you think Tuel is a better backup than Sanchez, are you? I don't want Sanchez as my starter but a vet presence on the sideline and in the meeting room in addition to a guy who can step in and make a few starts if need be - I'll take that any day. One of the major failings of Whaley is his handling of the backup QB spots. Unless Tuel shocks the world, the season is over if EJ goes down. Dragonborn10
Don't make a trade. Wait until after week one and sign one of the veteran QBs that gets cut.
KOKBILLS
I was wondering when this one was going to come up. Dude has like an 80% completion percentage so far this preseason. CJ for Sanchize amirite? Tell me you're kidding... You are kidding right?...Right?
Fixxxer
No to Sanchez in a trade, if he's cut, yes, he's better than Thad and Tuel. If I'm Whaley I'm following closely the KC QB situation, if they keep the youngsters to back-up Alex Smith they release Chase Daniels, if not, Tyler Bray will be available. Daniels has experience, Bray talent.

NewEra
Can't believe we didn't draft or sign any QB's this offseason. And why? Because baddeus and tool are going to blossom? I'd hope we could pick up someone over the next couple weeks. I understand that there are not a lot, if any "good" options available. I also know that our QBs are bad. Bottom 5 worst QBs in the league. One could argue that we are easily the worst.

Orton's Arm
Eagles are willing to listen to trade talks http://www.nfl.com/n...nt-mark-sanchez If Mark Sanchez was on my team's roster, I'd be willing to listen to trade talks too.
reddogblitz
If I'm Whaley I'm following closely the KC QB situation I'd also be watching the Seattle and Carolina and Bears situations. Seattle usually only keeps 2 QBs. They got TJack and Pryor behind Wilson. Bears could cut Palmer who would be a great vet backup. Carolina also usually only keeps 2. Seems Anderson is entrenched at 2. Joe Webb could be out. Any of these guys are better than Tuel. If Philly is willing to trade Sanchez it means they are thinking of cutting him. If they do, he would be another I would take. I wonder what it would take to coax Orton out of retirement?
Big C
Tell me you're kidding... You are kidding right?...Right? So a number 9 overall pick for a number 5 overall pick doesn't sound like a good trade to you? (Yes I'm kidding)
HOUSE
If Mark Sanchez was on my team's roster, I'd be willing to listen to trade talks too. The Eagles will bomb if forced to use Sanchez. I would considered waiving that guy.

Can I just say: By playing in consecutive AFC championship games, Mark Sanchez has accomplished more in the last 5 years as a professional quarterback, than the entire Bills organization has accomplished (in all but 4 years) of it's entire existence. I think you missed that. Again: By playing in consecutive AFC championship games, Mark Sanchez has accomplished more in the last 5 years as a professional quarterback, than the entire Bills organization has accomplished (in all but 4 years) of it's entire existence. One more time: By playing in consecutive AFC championship games, Mark Sanchez has accomplished more in the last 5 years as a professional quarterback, than the entire Bills organization has accomplished (in all but 4 years) of it's entire existence. we have EASILY the worst qb situation in the league in buffalo, and there's not even a team that's a close second. we wanted Buddy out the door because he "hadn't addressed" the qb situation, but good god almighty, Fitz would be the day 1 starter on this team and he wouldn't even have to fight for the job. i said this in the thread at the time (below) and i stand by it. I wouldn't just trade any 1 player for him, I would trade any 2 players not named sammy watkins for Mark Sanchez: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/166568-jets-cut-sanchez-git-er-dun/ "In Buffalo: we have a top 10 defense, and couldn't make the playoffs and the story line is "when will we have a quarterback??? how can this team win without a superstar quarterback???? we're doomed!!!!" In New York: they had a top 10 quarterback, and made the conference title game in consecutive seasons, and the story line is: "that defense was SICK. that defense carried the team. Sanchez didn't matter" Can't have it both ways boys. Sanchez's story is everything that's wrong with sports these days. 20 years ago he'd still be the starter in New York, and they'd surround him with wideouts and a running back. But because he's in NYC, that piece is overlooked, and 2.5 bad seasons later he's garbage. People on this board still like FITZ for Gods sakes. How many times did Sanchez make Fitz look like a JV reject. Opening week 2012, for starters. Would cut EJ right now and sign Sanchez if I was Whaley. My god, Sanchez never had the talent we have at wideout, much less running back. That arm? Wait, I forgot "Butt fumble LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!" He has eviscerated us. On numerous occasions. IN OUR HOUSE. "
Nanker
I'd rather see a headline on NFL.com "Maronne: Bills would listen if teams want Jeff Tuel or Thad Lewis!" Edited August 18, 2014 by Nanker

So you would trade say a Mario Williams and Kyle Williams straight up for a backup Qb named mark sanchez. You do realize that during the two seasons that the Jets made the AFC championship, they had a top 3 defense and one of the better running games in the NFL? The subsequent seasons when they couldn't rely on those , and had to rely on Sanchez''s arm instead , they didn't do so hot.
Best Player Available
If Mark Sanchez was on my team's roster, I'd be willing to listen to trade talks too. Maybe Kelly just brought him in for quality camp fodder only? trading for him,Which I think is highly unlikely if not out of the question, would be saying we suck, we know we do, He was our only choice, because well we suck. Sooooooo, by your own FREAKING logic, Sanchez would be a massive upgrade over EJ. You literally can not talk your way out of this corner you just painted yourself in. I'm going to enjoy watching you try though. Have at it.

Solomon Grundy
He is terrible but he is miles better than our backups. +1 we have a top 10 defense, and the second best running attack in the nfl, and finished 6-10. I'm going to enjoy watching you try though. Have at it. No, just a massive upgrade to Tuel/Lewis. Remember EJ missed numerous games last season due to injury. I don't know why they didn't go after Vick or him in the offseason. For whatever reason they think Thad and Tuel are good. Tuel is not good enough to play in the NFL and Thad looks like a 3rd stringer. They needed a veteran backup Lest you forget what happened when Buddy Nix considered bringing in Michael Vick when he was released from prison?
