I'm pumping gas at the Exxon station in Prosper (north of Dallas) when I look over and see Randy White filling up his pickup on the other side of the gas bay.

Some notes:

6-4, 250 and still rock solid. His biceps are bigger than my thighs.

He was on his way to do do pregame/postgame shows for the Cowboys tonight.

Lives in Prosper, about 2 miles from the gas station.

He thinks the Cowboys will be s*** this year.

Doesn't follow the NFL much, except for the Cowboys.

Owns 500 acres farther north that he will sell to finance his retirement.

After talking to him, he then went into the store. Has A LOT of trouble walking, probably due to old football injuries.

Did he offer you some Smoky Mountain Snuff? You know, it's America's favorite tobacco free snuff. At least, according to Randy White in all the commercials I hear on Sirius NFL Radio.

Used to eat at his BBQ joint.

He was nicknamed 'The Manster'...half man, half monster. Great player back in the day. Cool story, BTW.

Manster was one of my favorite players when I was a A HUGE Cowboy during the Landry years. He and Roger. I have an autographed Manster bobble head.

It's good that you dropped some weight.
