Buftex Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Sorry no link, but just heard on the radio, discussion that the Browns may be willing to trade Brian Hoyer...pure speculation on their part, perhaps...but mentioned Buffalo and Houston as possible landing spots...interesting...just asking aloud, would Hoyer be a huge upgrade over Thad or Tuel?
Matt in KC Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I'd prefer Hoyer, assuming he is back to 100% healthy.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I would definitely prefer Hoyer over Thad and Tuel, although he's not very good, IMO. Decent back-up though, probably a tad better than Thad. They will never do it I don't think.
artmalibu Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Hard to believe the Browns would trade their best QB????????

I'm not sure it's an upgrade worth spending on Probably not. But that really wasn't the question. Ha. I doubt very much that the Browns trade him, I doubt very much that the Bills would trade for him or any QB however much they need one. Unless it's someone they can get that they REALLY like who they could get in a Kelvin Sheppard for Jerry Hughes kind of deal.
Captain Caveman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Bringing in another QB isn't going to happen at this point barring injury or (very) gross incompetence.
jaybee Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I'm not certain Hoyer wouldn't be the starter if he landed here. It wont happen though so its just internet fodder on my (and our) part.

I'm sure he won't be. The only place a qb controversy exists would be on this board. I guess Hoyer is better than Lewis but who knows. He played like 4 games. I do find it funny that we will call our guy a bust after 4 games & anoint another team's guy as a potential savior after the same amount.

C.Biscuit97 Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 ej played 10 and hoyer played 2 plus 1/4 before he got Kiko'd. He also had a very forgettable start for Arizona in 2012. 7 tds, 6 ints in 5 years. Clearly, he is an upgrade over our Qbs. http://m.pfref.com/m?p=XXplayersXXHXXHoyeBr00.htm&t=0
Captain Caveman Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 ej played 10 and hoyer played 2 plus 1/4 before he got Kiko'd. I forgot about the Kiko'ing.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I forgot about the Kiko'ing. I forgot Kiko was a verb. Kiko just showed up at my office, and Kiko'd me for forgetting about Kikoing. That being said, Hoyer isn't worth what we'd have to give up to get him. Unless they'll take Thad or Tuel.
vincec Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I don't see it happening. The Bills staff is stubbornly "happy" with the current QB situation. These are the guys for the Marrone era, IMO. The only way things change is if there is an injury.
