let's assume that you didn't read the article. she was fired from the Black Educators Association because she was only half-black. from the article:

 

“Rachel Brothers lost her employment at the BEA in part because of decisions at the BEA in which her skin colour was a factor, and the problems that her skin colour created in her office for another BEA employee,” Murray wrote.

 

I think it's a pretty safe bet that she never would have been hired at all if had she been white.
