Best Player Available Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Wrong in what aspect? Understanding why he would go back racing or in general? I agree and understand why he would go back and race tomorrow in fact in the 12 spot.
Kevin Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I agree and understand why he would go back and race tomorrow in fact in the 12 spot. I'm glad to see that.
The Poojer Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 let's not lose sight of the fact that he isn't just driving, this is his job, not in the traditional sense that you and I are accustomed to but this is his daily job, he drives like i analyze data. i imagine I would take a couple weeks off of work if this was me, but then i would get back to my job, heavy heart but at my job nonetheless. Just because they have jobs that we view as play(racing, football, baseball, basketball etc) they are jobs to them. Can do whatever he wants. I'm commenting on the notion from his supporters that he's legimately an emotional wreck at this time. If thats true should he be behind the wheel on the track?
Rob's House Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Unfortunately I think you and I are the only two that may understand hahaha I thought it made perfect sense. Thought I made that obvious.
Kevin Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I thought it made perfect sense. Thought I made that obvious. There's a few that understand hahaha
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Like I asked WEO (who unsurprisingly didn't answer), why shouldn't he race? Because they probably think Stewart should be on 45 day of "traumatic leave." I'm calling the Union Steward, you guys made me watch the video... I need 45 days off.
Just Jack Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 For those that didn't see it, Tony raced again Sunday night and no one died.
KD in CA Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 For those that didn't see it, Tony raced again Sunday night and no one died. Did he look sufficiently distraught?
Just Jack Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Did he look sufficiently distraught? Seeing as he didn't finish the race due to two accidents, yes.
DC Tom Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 For those that didn't see it, Tony raced again Sunday night and no one died. Of course not. He was working. Wantonly murdering people on the race track is an extra-curricular activity.
Kevin Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Of course not. He was working. Wantonly murdering people on the race track is an extra-curricular activity. Unless your Tony Stewart, then it's just par for the course.
truth on hold Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) amazing how low the standards are when others view a "good day" at the office for him as not killing anyone. He's like the ISIS of Nascar Edited September 3, 2014 by Joe_the_6_pack
BuffaloBillsForever Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 amazing how low the standards are when others view a "good day" at the office for him as not killing anyone. He's like the ISIS of Nascar Only on the internet....
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Only on the internet.... Don't fret, J-S-P's brand of stupid existed long before the internet.
truth on hold Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I concede I shouldn't have made the ISIS comment. Too easy to take the wrong way and just not a good idea to use as a reference. But I stand by my comment that the standard for this guy has sunk exceedingly low

But I stand by my comment that the standard for this guy has sunk exceedingly low The ISIS comment was fine, that's not what you are being stupid about. You are way over-thinking this mess. With that said, this has nothing to do with "lowering standards."
DC Tom Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I concede I shouldn't have made the ISIS comment. Too easy to take the wrong way No, there's really only one way to take it: you're an idiot. Thanks for doing everyone the service of making that abundantly clear, though.
GG Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 No, there's really only one way to take it: you're an idiot. Thanks for doing everyone the service of making that abundantly clear, though. Stop insulting idiots.

truth on hold Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 So Tony's supporters think he's to be commended every time he races and doesn't kill anyone, but more generally he's like ISIS. Okie dokie....
