kickedface Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 still holding onto the dream that the bills ownership will be turned into a situation like what GB has. is it wrong that i want to own the team and make sure they NEVER leave?
YoloinOhio Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 hmmmm- Lauren Brill @LaurenBrill4 7m Per an attorney Pegula may be able to defer capital gains tax if he re-invests his gains from 1.75 billion-dollar deal into stadium
MarkAF43 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 still holding onto the dream that the bills ownership will be turned into a situation like what GB has. is it wrong that i want to own the team and make sure they NEVER leave? You do know that the NFL has rules now that don't allow any other teams to be owned that way, right?

17 Josh Allen Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The reporter from Toronto who is the lead guy in getting correct news And reporting facts. Has been say all week it's 2 to 3 bidders Going to round 2. He broke the story that said the the Canada Group had to resubmit there bid to be part of the 3 moving forward These 3 groups have been vetted. And deemed worthy to sit down With the Bills CEO This process should be transparent and it needs to keep Erie county and the city Of buffalo in the loop. We have a right to know if things behind the scenes are happening. Because I do not feel that Morgan Stanley is on the up and up How can this be that 5 more have now earned the right to sit down With are CEO and see all the Bills books. The other 3 groups have played by the rules and deserve the right to sit Down with Russ and see the books. A lot of strange things are going down. This is serious and it could lead to us Losing are team.

Just like any of us don't either.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Yeah, this was reported at the time of the sale. It's no coincidence. Another in an endless series of reasons he is the perfect choice, eventual winner and godsend.
thebandit27 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Another in an endless series of reasons he is the perfect choice, eventual winner and godsend. Indeed on all 3 counts. This really is an exciting time to be a Bills' fan.
BRAWNDO Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 This is pure speculation on my part, but I believe we are overlooking something. I believe Thurman Thomas has aligned himself with The Pegulas. Matt Moulson, who recently signed with Sabres as a FA, was interviewed on July 2nd by WGR and he mentioned grew up a Bills Fan and is looking forward to going to some games. He also mentioned Thomas was his favorite player and he spoke to Terry who was going to talk to Thurman about getting him an autographed ball. Its possible that Pegula and Thurman have become friends through Thurman being a Sabres Fan. But going back to Thurman's tweet from May "I just did something that will ensure the future of the Buffalo Bills in WNY for a long time." I believe there is more to their relationship.
17 Josh Allen Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 How can you take part in a process that has no rules. Then why submitt a non biding bid at all Your supposed to be vetted and show your Financing and intent to the Morgan Stanley To get the right to see the Bills financials and books Now where has it been reported until this morning Has the number of 8 been reported that a 8 Get to sit at the table with Russ. Brandon Who are these other 5 why don't we know who they are What are the chances they could move the team This is serious some may laugh this off but I am not One of them.
MarkAF43 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Indeed on all 3 counts. This really is an exciting time to be a Bills' fan. I'm having fun with it. you're right, it's very exciting.
A Dog Named Kelso Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Certainly all things equal but I think Pegula can vastly outbid anything Gundlach could offer. He just doesn't have that kind of cash and by taking on tons of investors it is not a model that the NFL follows. The NFL likes 1 cash flush billionaire to own the team. Pegula is clearly the guy. If you told me a few weeks ago Jim Kelly would enter the race I would be excited. But I'm not today. This seemed like a done deal with Pegula. All this is doing is driving the price higher which is money that could have been re-invested in the community People keep claiming this but I do not believe it is true. Every time I have read stories of a potential sale I have also read that the NFL has provided a list of names to buyers in case they need help purchasing the team. They have a drawer full of "me too" individuals who want in on the NFL. Just because most wealthy people do not want to share their toys doesn't mean the NFL want one owner, otherwise, they would make the controlling owner stake quite a bit higher,

He doesn't even own the Bills, and he's already trying to pinch pennies. El Pegulo is cheap.

He has earmarked probably most if not all of that $1.75 BIL to the Buffalo Bills purchase. If Jim Kelly and Gundlach don't enter the picture then there is a good chance he gets the team for a cool $1 BIL and then has upwards of $750 MIL set aside for a stadium right off the bat! If they drive the price higher on him he is still going to win but if he has to pay say $1.4 BIL for the team then that is only $350 MIL for a new stadium. The higher the sale price goes, the less of a chance we have at getting a stadium

Seriously, take a step back, a deep breath and relax. you're all worked up over an article, go have a glass of water, unplug from the interwebs, go outside and get some fresh air, and think, " this isn't a bad thing, happy thoughts, happy thoughts"
17 Josh Allen Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Erie county and the city of Buffalo deserve to know And if I am them I would want to know We could lose are team people and these reports Should be doing there jobs. Press release by Morgan Stanley should be put out Of who the 8 are That's all I'm saying and it's not too much to ask

This is serious and it could lead to us Losing are team. First off, just because only 3 bidders met the soft deadline, that doesn't mean others were precluded--all bidders would've known that from the start. Second, no, the process should NOT be transparent. That's why the team was placed in a Trust instead of simply willed to a singular entity. Trusts keep things private. Morgan Stanely is following the process to a tee; you don't have to like it, but that's the case. Nobody is being played here. Everyone that makes it to round 2 will have equal access to detailed financials; there's no funny business happening. Lastly, as has been said hundreds of times, we aren't losing the team. I think I'll leave it at that for now.
