What is so special about these guys? Are you discriminating against the rest for a reason?
R. Rich
Some are players at positions of need (hence the large number of OL/LBs listed) while others are players I think could be available for the Bills in the draft.
Mark VI
ESPN has been showing the South team practicing this afternoon. I've been watching them for the last hour. Mel Kiper is poviding scouting reports. Craig James and Mark May are interviewing coaches, scouts. Very good coverage. Tomorrow afternoon, the North squad. Astrobot
Saw the South practice today, too. Here's who I liked and didn't like: LIKED: WR Gibson--A full head taller--and better--than the other South wideouts. They talked about his good blocking. That's what Moulds and Evans need next downfield. Aiken is not as strong at blocking as he needs to be. DIDN'T LIKE: WR Craphonso Thorpe--Seemed to take an extra 1/2 step in his breaks. LIKED: OL Johnson from Old Miss--got low in his blocks, seemed to get very good leverage. DIDN'T LIKE: OL Willis and Marcus Spears--Dogging it. LIKED: DB Travis Daniels, LSU--Got an INT in the 11 on 11 drills. DB KayJay Harris DB McFadden----praised for his effort in practice, his aggression and tackling. But 1 INT in 2 years. Want another Winfield? LIKED: RB Cedric Houston---Draft in Round 4. Dropped a pass but has a 5.6 yards per carry average. LB Michael Boley---Excellent blitzer. Size will probably make him a Safety in pros. He's 6'2", 225 MOST IMPRESSIVE PLAYER: DL DeMarcus Ware---Super Quick. Required 2 on 1 blocking. Great use of hands on the 1 on 1's. Lateral speed. great work ethic, according to draftniks. Had 3 3-sack games this year.
Mark VI
Here's a prediction. Matt Jones, the Arkansas QB who is lining up at WR this week... 6-6 247 with speed and good hands. The Bills pick him in this draft. Say hello to your slash player Mularkey covets.
Mark VI
Correction. Game starts at 4pm Eastern on Saturday. ESPN 2 Kiper on who has stood out this week. 1. Demarcus Ware - Troy - DE/LB- up to 247 lbs. - very disruptive 2. Matt Roth - LB - Iowa - no one can block him 3. Mark Clayton - WR - Oklahoma- Schooling the DB's 4. Taylor Stubblefield - WR - Purdue - May have moved into Round 3 - Catching everything.
