Clippers of Nfl Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 It looks like I need convincing. I just dont see it. Every nfl qb will have nice passes here and there. That's my take on Tuel. Did he have a nice run, a nice throw? Sure. A coworker of mine said this in the morning, " Who is that skinny little college kid playing qb for you guys?" He was referring to Tuel. Help me
Dirtbag Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 more like love/hate? that's how i've always defined my relationship with the team.
John from Riverside Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 He still does look skinny.....especially when he is standing next to EJ Manuel.... but I think he has gotten stronger and is throwing a better ball then he did last year.

Fadingpain Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Hopefully EJ gets to that point. Tuel has already amply demonstrated he is not the answer, any more than EJ is. Sadly, what Tuel has, EJ lacks. What EJ has, Tuel lacks. We need the best skills of each to merge into one player. That won't happen anytime soon. The next Jim Kelly for our team is not currently on the roster. Get used to that.

Tuel has played two career games. He's the answer.
AllDayADay Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I am still getting over his pick 6 vs KC. Would have been a huge game for us to win. I still think Thad is our number 2 after that he did last year. Tuel has a weird release;
Charles Romes Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I don't think you hate Tuel per se. You hate our QB situation in which a QB of the ilk of Tuel must be considered as a potential starter.
RuntheDamnBall Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I hate that Tuel is their #2 option, but that ain't the kid's fault. I've said it before, but this would be like the Bills going with Gilbert at #2 with no Reich in the house.
You herd it hear last Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 What's the next step down from noodle arm? Fitzlike? yeah, he's in between those. As bad as Thad was. He's got experience points working for him. I gotta feeling he'll come around. Burn down the Tuel shed and be done with it. Get a backup that knows he's the backup.

Flip Johnson Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Tuel is a poor man's Trent Edwards. I am underwhelmed by Thad this year but terrified of any plan that involves him as the Bills #2.

PromoTheRobot Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 What you hate is the fact he looked like our best QB Sunday.
Billshank Redemption Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Tuel just doesn't have NFL talent plain and simple. At last Dixon and Lewis have that, what a waste of a roster spot.
PO'14 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 wow....what a bunch of Debbie downers. Dude made 1 bad pass last year against a team that was undefeated. Get a grip. He is Young, seems bigger this year and is still learning

C.Biscuit97 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 What you hate is the fact he looked like our best QB Sunday. Personally, I have nothing against Tuel. He's maximizing his talent and I applaud him for that. I just don't know how much there actually is. And honestly, it's the overreaction fans have to meaningless football games. Tuel is suddenly better than EJ because of his play against 2nd & 3rd stringers? It gets silly here during preseason.

Tuel played first stringers.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I actually think Tuel will turn into a serviceable backup. He also single handedly torpedoed what was one of the best team efforts last season, so there's that.
