34-78-83 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Guard might be an option sure.... RT might still be an option too. He's just gonna have to develop. It was one game. Maybe we'll see improvement on Friday.
BigBuff423 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 It's not an indictment on him if he starts out at G. The Rams are putting Greg Robinson there to start, I know there have been others. Marrone loves to tinker with the OL. Will be interesting. Not to mention, could you see Glenn-Richardson-Wood-CK-Henderson?? If Cyril Richardson comes on next year...?? That would be nice, along with Pears, Williams, Urbik doing depth / back-up duty...
TC in St. Louis Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Once he settled in he did a good job. He actually showed a lot of improvement within the game. He's gonna be fine.
TheFunPolice Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 How cool is it to have some rookies on the OL? Suddenly it feels like we have depth at OL
CountryCletus Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 For a player that has a chip on his shoulder bc he felt he should have been a 1st rounder, I sure thought he would get "it" a little quicker... He was my biggest loser last night...,
Charles Romes Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 With the level of investment in the intelligence, it baffles me how Cyrus could be slotted a 2 and Seantrel a 7.

Big C Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Daniel Jeremiah tweeted a photo of Cyrus not bending his knees properly last night. I wonder if that's going to be an issue for him.
Coach Tuesday Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Daniel Jeremiah tweeted a photo of Cyrus not bending his knees properly last night. I wonder if that's going to be an issue for him. Yes! I didn't see the tweet but that matches what I saw. It looked like his left leg wouldn't bend. I wonder if he is wearing some special, limiting knee brace or something.

34-78-83 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) Looks like he didn't set his hips and got worked in the upper body to me there .... He's lost his balance at the moment of that shot Edited August 4, 2014 by 34-78-83
Nanker Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 We have good problems here. And some folks are having their usual trouble dealing with them.
FistingBot Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I'm going to assume Cyrus is still hurt and would perhaps benefit from a year on the IR. From down here in SEC country, he was pretty bad his last year at Alabama. He got worked by more than a few average college d-ends (e.g. Gayle from Virginia Tech owned Kouandjio). I'm still skeptical as to whether Cyrus is really 100%... or even 80%... healthy.
K-9 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Very poor technique there, to say the least. If the reason ISN'T because he's hurt, then he's VERY raw and I find that hard to believe after watching him in college. GO BILLS!!!
John from Riverside Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 With the level of investment in the intelligence, it baffles me how Cyrus could be slotted a 2 and Seantrel a 7. Seriously? I think this needs to be said..... If Cyrus ends up moving from OT to OG for his NFL career and ends up being a very good OG.......that would not be the worst thing in the world. He was drafted in the 2nd round and good OG's go there
billsfan89 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 If he ends up moving to guard and is really good there, then its a pick well spent still. This pre-season process is in its very early stages.
ALF Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 With so many new players this year will be a learning experience. I would be very surprised if they finished above 8-8. We've suffered this long , 1 more year should be easy, Tuel has potential. Give them patience and good coaching and they will play their heart out when ready.
