TC in St. Louis Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 One question: Who is this Landon Cohen guy? Where did he come from? Didn't he write "Hallelujah"? Was he bagging groceries at a deli and suddenly became a force on the defensive line? Landon Cohen? Bet he moves up a bit today.
34-78-83 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 All I know is they said he's been around the league for a few years... He was certainly making the most of his opportunity out there in the 2nd half.
The Big Cat Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Whatever you want to say about him, the guy lined up across from him certainly could not block him.
Juice_32 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 i work with 2 giants fans and they both asked about him today. i have to admit, i had no idea who he was until today. i will certainly be keeping an eye on him now though.
Doc Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 He was a 7th round pick by the Lions (i.e. Schwartz connection) back in 2008. He was 6'3" and 278# at the Combine, but is now 6'1" ( ) and 300#.
8-8 Forever? Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 put him in against the 1's and lets see what happens. but hey, never know at this level. look at Kyle W. -- high motor, quicks and 300+ and you can do some damage in today's NFL. don't not matter what your name is (fancy gammar added..)
UpperDeck Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I'm not so sure he proved anything. It wasn't like he made some great move to beat his guy. He went totally unblocked on the plays that he made.
CountryCletus Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I keyed in on him after reading some posts here... He seems like he gets completely engulfed by OL occasiobally
GG Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I expected a Landon Cohen to look slightly differently.
K-9 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 If we have anyone quicker off the ball, I'd like to know who it is. Sure he was playing against an OLman that may not make the 2nd cut, but that has nothing to do with how fast he got off the ball. Impressive stuff. GO BILLS!!!
Doc Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I expected a Landon Cohen to look slightly differently. Yep. Looks no more Jewish than McGahee looked Irish.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I expected a Landon Cohen to look slightly differently. Damn. Does this mean I have to scratch him off my "Greatest Jewish Sports Heroes" pamphlet?
GG Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Damn. Does this mean I have to scratch him off my "Greatest Jewish Sports Heroes" pamphlet? Not necessarily, could have been part of the Ethiopian diaspora.
TC in St. Louis Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Damn. Does this mean I have to scratch him off my "Greatest Jewish Sports Heroes" pamphlet? Go "Airplane!" jokes!! Yeah!
Kelly the Dog Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Not necessarily, could have been part of the Ethiopian diaspora. Hmmm... Good point. When we first signed him I was excited because I thought he might be Leonard Cohen's son.
GG Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Hmmm... Good point. When we first signed him I was excited because I thought he might be Leonard Cohen's son. Good thought, we need an improvement over Marv's songs.
devldog131 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I expected a Landon Cohen to look slightly differently. And, as my mother-in-law said during the game... "That guy doesn't look like a Nigel Bradham..."
Kelly the Dog Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Good thought, we need an improvement over Marv's songs. Yup. Although on second thought, a sensitive Canadian singer-songwriter and poet singing "Hallelujah" on an acoustic guitar MAY not be the best role model for an NFL defensive tackle.
DJasper Probincrux III Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I keyed in on him after reading some posts here... He seems like he gets completely engulfed by OL occasiobally I did the same thing, it looked like he either was able to out-quick his blocker and get into the backfield or he got completely obliterated and knocked off his feet or driven well backwards. Seemed very much like all or nothing.
