Augie Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Just seeing him move in person at camp, he doesn't move well. Looks sloppy and uncoordinated. To be fair he is massive and most guys that big are like that. Just didn't look like a great natural athlete. I wonder what his actual weight is and if they'd like to see him drop 10-20 pounds? That might help some.
smapdi Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Henderson has definitely become my most intriguing player to watch in tonight's game and the rest of the preseason. Monster-sized, long-armed, physical specimen with the raw talent to emerge as a dominating NFL right tackle in any type of blocking scheme. Failed to live up to expectations in college as a result of tumultuous career marred by tragedy, suspensions, injuries and benchings "If you want to draw up a first-round offensive tackle, this is the kid. Offensive line coaches want to coach him. But there's a downside. There is all kinds of negative off-the-field issues. Because of all the issues off the field, he took himself from being a first-round pick to being a seventh-round pick." -- Mike Mayock STRENGTHS Looks every bit the part with a rare-sized body that will make offensive line coaches drool -- broad-shouldered, big-boned, well-proportioned and thickly built. Athletic bender. Light-footed kick slide. Is a day trip to get around -- long arms aid recovery and enable him to push rushers wide of the pocket. Thwarts rushers with a heavy punch and sturdy base. Locks on and controls. Walls off and seals. Widens the hole. Gets to the second level with ease. Passes off stunts. He clearly has all the talent in the world and his an elite physical specimen of a NFL OT. All of his problems stem from poor decision making off the field. Marrone is definitely the type of coach that could help turn around his career & develop him into the next Jason Peters. They sat him down and told him straight up this is his one and only chance to make it the NFL. Hopefully he got the message and decides to cut out the knucklehead moves off the field.
You herd it hear last Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 My watch list has comparison between Brown & Borland. I really wanted Borland but Brown is bigger and will probably be more durable & consistent in the NFL. Live in Madison and watched Borland. Great player, but too many injuries. But with an NFL body in a couple of years, might be a beast.
boyst Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Keep 2tes. Use him to block as third. The best 11 players on the field
