BuffaloBill Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/07/31/nfl-extra-point-experiment-begins-at-the-hall-of-fame-game/ I think it is a good idea as kicks from the 2yd line are automatic.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I like it. Almost guarenteed, but still not a gimme.
Mark Vader Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Doesn't this basically eliminate the fake extra point play? What if a team wants to go for two, but they line up to make it look like they are going for one? That's an exciting play that the NFL would be doing away with. No coach will risk going for two from the 15. No thanks, leave it the way it is.
DallasMac Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Either leave it the way it is or make the extra point automatic. If the team wants to go for two then line them up as usual. I hate the longer extra point. I'd rather they shrink the goal posts
reddogblitz Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It ain't broke.

mattsox Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It ain't broke. It is broke. It's stupid. Why do you need to kick and extra point after a TD? Just make a TD worth 7 or make it harder for an extra point.
Blaise321 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I don't see the PAT, or any type of extra pt. conversion, eliminated from the game any time soon. It helps them cram 10 minutes of commecials in after every touchdown. TD--bunch of commercials--PAT--bunch of commercials--kick off--bunch of commercials--play
boyst Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 This is proof the NFL hates us. Why do they have to us in our first game? That's just more proof they want to mess with us.Just because we play ffirst doesn't make it right!
eball Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It ain't broke. I'd call a play that creates no drama and has the same result more than 99% of the time a waste of energy. That's "broke."
Dorkington Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It ain't broke. Ditto.
Dirtbag Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 i say keep it the way it is but have a randomly selected drunk fan perform the kick. to make it even more exciting, i would award the team an extra ten points if the fan pukes on the field at any point during the play. you could do the same thing for punts, fyi.

TD--bunch of commercials--PAT--bunch of commercials--kick off--bunch of commercials--play When do they play commericals right after the TD? They usually get lined up for the PAT quickly, during which the station shows the replay.
