9-7 on games we should win considering we split with the Patsies and jets and sweep the dolphins. Second in the division to the pats who may finish 1 or more wins above us.

A win in Chicago would be huge. Clearly, we are underdogs in that game, but it will be a great game to have Schwarz as our DC.

Also, I think (or maybe just hope) that facing the Patriots, and the Jets later in the season (week 6 & 8, respectively) will work to our advantage. Be that as it may, I think the Jets and Patriots will be battling for the division. And, while I believe we will be much improved, I see scant chance for a playoff berth, or even second place in our division.

6-10, 3rd in the Division behind Patriots and Jets. Team and coaching staff need to prove me wrong. I think defense struggles a bit without Byrd, Kiko and Pettine. EJ continues to struggle as does offensive line. Patriots still take division at 11-5, I think jets go 10-6 or 9-7.

I think 6-10 isn't out of the question. But I don't think we are going to get swept by the JEST. Additonally, I think we may sweep the fins again this year. I'm thinking 8-8 is more likely

It took a lot of things to happen last year for us to finish with so few wins. If half of those issues never happen, we win at LEAST 3 games. We were not nearly as far off as many paint us to be.

Although our record and on-field performance because of those factors put us in the "same-old-Bills" category, which we most certainly were not.

It will again take a massive effort from the football gods to keep us from winning at least 10 games.

December looks like a tough way to finish... Yikes! Being realistic, I've got to hope the Pats have things wrapped up and sit everybody for the final game - we may need that badly.

I disagree with that statement strongly. Last year, the Bills played 8 games where they finished within 7 points and split 4-4. Despite an identical record to 2011 and 2012, that was much better than they did in those other years. In 2012, the bills played 6 games within 7 points and went 2-4. In 2011 they played 8 games and went 3-5. Until this team shows that they can actually win the close ones, I will be skeptical. Most importantly, they have to win more division games. In the last 2 years, they've gone 1-1, 0-2, and 0-2 versus the patriots; 0-2, 1-1, 1-1 versus the Jets; and 0-2, 1-1, 2-0 versus Miami. They've improved each year overall, but have to win more of those games to have a shot. I'm optimistic, but believe it will depend very much on the offense.

Not sure I'd include 9-7 with 7-9. One's a winning record and the other is par for the course in Bills' land. Huge difference Imo.

That being said, I'll go with the optimistic (read: pre-season) view of the season: 9-7 and 2nd in the division.

I was speaking more in terms of FO overhaul, new coaching, changing systems and a huge amount of record/game impacting injuries. The team just had a different feel to it. But I do agree with the "close game" contingency. EJ gave us a glimpse that he too can be calm and collected in the 4th quarter and pull off some more close games this year.

3rd down on both sides of the ball will be the decider this year.

6-10 last place for the 7-peat. Same old same old. Alonso is out for the year, QB play is questionable, one injury at LB, OL, or Secondary away from disaster.

Interesting that no one has the Bills winning the first game but me. I think that Chicago at home should be a win. It may be a sloppy win but a win in my mind. Why so negative about the first game people???

if you dig, it could actually be a good match up. The Bears were the worst against the rush last year
