Captain Hindsight Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Practice gets delayed and Fred gets a raise. I'm calling conspiracy!
mrags Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 The writing is in the wall for you know who. Just saying.
Kirby Jackson Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 This isn't a bad move. He is still productive and is a team leader. He will fill the role of mentor. I think that the Bills should bring back Spiller as well.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Another indication that Spiller's days are numbered. Congrats to Fred, surely he will retire a Bill. Hope they send him out with a playoff win or two!
artmalibu Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Just got the text 2 seconds ago and thought i was one of the first to know...lol
qblax16 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 If this affects a deal with Spiller, I hate it. I do love some Fred Jackson, but man, we traded a top 5 back once, and if we lose spiller we'll probably see him excel elsewhere (maybe not top 5).

If they can get a deal done with Spiller (who doesn't have an agent right now), they will
YoloinOhio Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 YAYYYYY Means nothing to Spiller IMO The Bills are finally in the business of signing good football players. If they can get a deal done with Spiller (who doesn't have an agent right now), they will Totally agree with this
Kelly the Dog Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm just sayin', this is total conjecture, I'm just sayin', but this is strange timing by the front office, and really something Terry Pegula would do. I'm just sayin.' Unless, I guess one could argue, that Russ Brandon knows he's on his way out and wanted to do a little something for Fred for his service all these years. My money is on Brandon staying in his job though.

The Bills backfield will look like the Saints when Marrone was there. They had a bunch of guys that brought different skills. It may look like the Earth, Wind and Fire backfield that the Giants had a few years back. Edited July 30, 2014 by Kirby Jackson

They need the D to stack the box and give EJ some open options.
Rubes Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Love it. Sounds like a one year extension, but it's totally worth it. Don't think this means anything for Spiller. One of the best Bills ever!
