I’m SO nervous. Truth be told it hadn’t really sunk in that we are playing for the national championship. The roller coaster of emotions since 11/30 insane. I want to feel confident. But I can’t.

No offense to any Notre Dame Fans. They have, and have always had a fine program.

That said, I am looking at Ohio State by at least 28. With a better QB they could probably win by 40.

Relax.

Ok, but they have a really great defense and I have not really watched their offense but they have beaten several good teams like A&M and both service academies that were ranked plus the playoff wins.

When I was watching Notre Dame play Penn State I thought, “We’d beat the hell outta either of these teams.”

Then I watched Texas play us close, but for a screen pass and the best goal-line stand I’ve seen.

If Notre Dame can make our offense one dimensional I think they have a puncher’s chance. But they haven’t faced anyone like us and I just can’t see them doing it for four quarters, barring a crazy injury.

I’m confident that by the end of the night on Monday we are gonna be champions!

I will say that I think Texas is really good. I thought they had a great game plan and sometimes the execution wasn’t there. Couple head scratching play calls.  They did have the Thorpe award winner and freshman of the year on defense. They impressed me. I like Ewers more after that game as an nfl prospect.

Service academies? Really Yolo? Look, I totally understand how you feel. I was nervous when Alabama played Ohio State and looking back at that Bama roster, I had no right to be.

Ohio State is going to put their lights out by halftime. They really might pull their starters by the third quarter.

I am going to let my small winnings on OSU ride.

They were both ranked! I’m serious. I’m just nervous.

I’m sweating this one. ND is in a similar position that Ohio State was in when it upset Miami in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. One of the many miracles of that game was Chris Gamble somehow shutting down Andre Johnson. Hoping the Buckeyes don’t let anything like that happen on Monday!

Lou Holtz continues to be one of the most arrogant pr**ks I’ve ever seen. This reminds me of years ago when ND joining the Big 10 was brought up. The question was what ND would do if the B10 would give them an ultimatum of join or none of our teams will ever play ND again. His response was that ND would just schedule Hawaii in Hawaii for the last game of ever season and give their team a vacation there. The assumption that Hawaii was just waiting by the phone for that to happen was so disrespectful and arrogant. He hasn’t ever changed.

Lou Holtz twitter quote: “If Notre Dame doesn’t win, it’s because we want to preserve Ryan Day’s job. I was originally going to be at the game in spirit, but now I’ll be dragging my body along as well.”

ND thinks Day has thin skin that they can manipulate to their advantage. I hope Day sees it for what it is.

Holtz does. But it’s so obvious and childish, how could he ever think it would work to his advantage? It is much more likely to be bulletin board material for players and result in them playing hard and focusing for their coach. It smacks of desperation.

Always gotta sweat for a game as big as this one but the Bucks are playing the way they are supposed to and I think they will take control of this game at the latest third quarter.   ND is strong but just doesn't have enough talent.

They can try to shut down smith, and we can throw to the other two 1st round WRs. More likely they won’t unless they change their entire defense away from man coverage

He does have thin skin! but hopefully he’s moved past the holtz thing by now. I’m actually surprised holtz is talking so much but people just kind of laugh at him now like an old man with no filter.
