Blackmon Arrested Again

Recommended Posts

I hate getting into this debate but here it goes. Racial profiling is wrong. But people are breaking the law, whether the law is a just one or not, are not doing anything to fight against the sterotype. He's actually reinforcing the sterotype and proving the cop, as wrong as it is to make those assumptions, right.

Sorry to hijack, but the bottom line really, no matter what the behavior, is Blackmon's not been able to avoid the consequences as many others have.

I'm not advocating DUIs or anything. In the end, Darwin will see to that. But we can't have it both ways. With liberty comes the reality of unforseen issues and sometimes even more challenges.

Again, I beg of you, please tell me WHEN I should get behind the wheel after legally ingesting legally purchased marijuana? After I eat half a bag of Doritos brand tortilla chips? There's a serious difference in enforceability.

This is awesome...

Anyway---stop begging. I don't know what your DUI schedule should be. How about "the next day"?

And to answer you question. As long as the cop is pulling the car over that's blaring AC/DC or the car full of Bieber freak college girls, because they're doing it too, and probably more.

One can't become addicted to pot.

One can, however, become a complete imbecile.

How can this be true when there seems to be a trend of players who can't stop smoking it, even knowing it'll cost them millions of dollars because they won't keep their job?

Sometimes we try so hard to find complicated reasons to explain things. Often it is just really simple. They are stupid.

Jerry Hughes did that all on his own. He was probably high when he raced his car right?

Listen, I am defending it I know, and it might not be popular to do so. And all the above reports seem to some degree valid, but tell me, how long should I wait before I get in my vehicle to drive? There's no real answer.

Compared to the distracted idiots with everything on their mind BUT driving, cruisin while high (it being the ONLY factor) is fairly negligible in its effect on traffic safety. And so ya know, a lot of people have been doing it for a long long long long time. My guess is the reason Blackmon got pulled over had nothing to do with pot and everything to do with loud music, big rims, you know, things that white cops look for.

What percentage of people that smoke and drive don't engage in any other distracting behaviors while driving high?

According to Colorado law...drivers are assumed to be impaired if their blood test shows a level of THC—the active ingredient in marijuana—of 5 or more nanograms per milliliter...so under 5 nanogram/mL that's when.

Good point, it just bothers me because I see this all the time, oh you can't get addicted to pot etc, but yet these players risk millions just to smoke pot, sooooo is stupidity that rampant or is there some sort of addictive quality to smoking pot?

Why not 2?...3?... After all it stays in your system for a few weeks.

There's no way to prove whether one recently smoked a little bit or if they smoked a lot not-so-recently.

I'll stop begging. But I've been on this site for several years and have noticed the consistent tone and stance you take. Just seems like yer pickin a fight. I'm not the kind that backs down to bullies like you, so good luck with that.

Like black guys smoking blunts while driving ?

Keep sayin it's just black people. It's gonna be lonely where you are eventually.

it's not addictive like alcohol or tobacco but some really like how it makes them feel. I used to. It does temporarily relieve pain. Hangovers, nausea......etc

Thanks. Does the test provide for roadside testability? I would think that tech is pretty expensive right now. Probably only get one if involved in an accident causing injury or death at the hospital.

I'm speaking from the position of never having tried it, so would you say that those feelings you mentioned become addictive? From anything I've ever read on the topic the claims are mostly that it's a non addicting thing.

Other than having sex? I didn't engage in much other than dealing with typical kids bickering in the back seat. This was a few decades ago.

and before people go off.. how many of your parents drove your family places after having a few drinks at a party or picnic?

how many people that don't smoke engage in any other distracting behaviors while driving?

TOO FREAKING MANY

I'd say over 40 to 60% on my drive to and from work.

You come on here and beg me to tell how soon you can get behind the wheel after getting high---and you say I'm trying to pick a fight? Come on!

Let me list all the car crashes with marijuana as the only culprit.

1.

ok, done

it's about as dangerous as driving with the radio on.

but I do get the overall theme of the thread. Why can't they put the bong down for a little while to create some wealth for themselves and their families? The answer, they shouldn't have to. If it has no effect on their play, and their long term health(maybe a little wiggle room for argument there admittedly), it should be OK.

While you can argue that it should be legal it is not where he was living and I doubt there is anywhere where. It would be legal to get high while driving. He probably has an addiction issue so this is sad for him and those the situation impacts.

Dude should just move to Colorado.

Dont think it makes a diff in the NFL. State it's legal, Federally not so much! I dont think the league allows it yet. However they r pushing to have the penalties by the league reduce for "smoking da refer"
