FireChan Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Per CBS, he's announced his retirement. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24634523/seahawks-wr-sidney-rice-27-announces-his-retirement
reddogblitz Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That's too bad for him. He was a really good WR from what I saw from him in 2012 in Seatlle. I wanted us to get him. But I guess he has injury issues. Probably good to quit now instead of being a cripple for the rest of your life.
machine gun kelly Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Too bad. He was even better in MN. He was an excellent target for Favre when they went to the NFC championship game. Hopefully he saved his money and invested well.
Dorkington Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Hate seeing good talent walk away from the game, but good for him recognizing that health is more important.
CountryCletus Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Hate seeing good talent walk away from the game, but good for him recognizing that health is more important. +1
VirginiaMike Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Concussion issues -- I hope he has not done permanent damage and wish him the best in the future. Fame and money are very fleeting things in the NFL (Not For Long)
