I take it you don't live in a high tax state like CA? 1 hour ago, Tiberius said: All part of the war on the poor I wonder if there is any correlation with the drug use and them being poor. LeGOATski
@Back2Buff says liberalism is a disease. I know a lot of people with that. Will cannabis help as much as praying for them will?

As proven time and time again, any and EVERY time a state has implemented Drug Testing in order to get Gov Assistance... NO, there is no real correlation between poor people and drugs. If anything, it's rich people doing all the drugs since they are the ones that can afford them.

I don't live in CA but I do live in high tax WA. I can buy 1 gram for $5. That is $140 per ounce. On the black market pre legalization I could buy a quarter ounce of $50. Do the math. $35 vs $50. Which would you choose? I have also made purchases in CA and OR and the prices were about the same. Did not do an exhaustive search and it was a couple of years ago. I suspect most law abiding citizens would rather deal with a legal legitimate business than with criminals. I know I do. True, black market will not go away. But how many people still buy black market booze? Edited November 5, 2020 by reddogblitz

Sure see a lot of homeless people that are drug addicts. And what I’m saying is drug addiction often leads to loss of jobs and income. Rich people doing ALL the drugs?? Ha. Good one. Wacka
40-45 years ago it was $40 an ounce. What caused it to be so expensive now? Paying off politicians? I read that Oregpn passed a referendum decriminalizing heroin, etc. If Oregon is a sh*thole now, just wait.

For sure, addiction (mostly alcohol) plays into homelessness like many other mental illnesses. But I'm not talking only the homeless. I'm talking the general poor, lower working class. They arent struggling because they are wasting their money on drugs.

"Why is something more expensive than it was 45 years ago in 1975?" 🤣 Average college tuition back then was about $8k, today it's $25k. You could buy a nice house for $20-25k, that today would go for $250k A gallon of milk was $1.50, today it's $3.50 Here's an article on Inflation if you want to read more. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflation Additionally, the weed people are getting today is no where near the Mexico dirt shwag that was around in 1975.

Wacka
Another "quality" web site pushing drugs. Post something when you have an JAMA article on pot curing something. I know that pot can cause paralysis. A friend's sister-in-law became paralyzed when her boyfriend was so stoned that he forgot he was driving and caused an accident that caused her to be completely paralyzed when she was a teen.
