  1. 1. If the Toronto group buys the Bills, will you still support the team?

    • The day the Toronto group buys the team I will no longer be a fan. Let's boycott!

    • We still have them until at least 2020, I'm all in until then

Fellow Bills faithful, these are trying times. We are under attack by a threat from the North. Our normally docile neighbors are hatching a plan to steal our team.

http://www.foxsports...uy-bills-071814

They plan to come over the Peace Bridge with their bags of cash and take our Bills back to their country. They will lie to us and tell us what we want to hear but they are not to be trusted. As soon as the lease is up then they are outta here. It's a certainty as sure as the sky is blue. Do not fall victim to their deceit.

The face of this evil organization is this man:

bonjovija6.jpg

He has offended our eardrums for years but we put up with it because our wife liked his CD back in high school. But no more!

I for one do not want to see this nancy-boy in leather tights take our team from us. But the threat is real and the worry on a lot of ours minds is just. This is a very real possibility and things seem to be heating up.

The question I'd like to ask today is: if the Toronto group buys our team, will you still support them?

It has been speculated by some that the league would not approve the Toronto group owning the team due to the threat of playing to empty stadiums for the next 5 years. But I would be curious to see how you, our most devoted fans, would side. Will you support this team in the years to come knowing the inevitable is just around the corner?

Nope. We all know what it would mean if they get the Bills. The Bills leaving Buffalo would be the most horrible thing to happen to me in my life time outside of losing a loved one. I'm not even from Buffalo. Or the region originally. It absolutely sucks we all have to go through this.

Nope. The true intentions are obvious at this point. Mlse and Rogers have little or no motivation to keep the team in Buffalo past the lease. They will go through the motions but I won't be duped

The buffalo bills will die the instant the trust decides to sell to them

Canadiens BUYING the team wouldn't hurt as much as Canadiens MOVING the team. If they are not in WNY they are the Clippers to me.

Toronto Bills doesn't make sense as a name. They would have to rename the team. The Bills would be dead to me at that point. I was never one of those people who just go out and get another pet after the one I had for years dies. I wait a long time and decide what I want to do. I think that is what would happen if the Bills died.

If the team moves they will no longer be the Buffalo Bills therefore I will no longer be a fan of the team wherever they go and whatever they are called bc they won't be called the Bills and the helmets obviously won't have a Buffalo on them

Now I'm annoyed, thanks

when they leave western Ny , NFL Football will lose all meaning to me because i will have a broken heart.

But i will find something else to be passionate about.

Like croquet . Or knitting . Or train spotting

shoot me now.

I have suffered in my life but...

I am not a strong enough man to have my Buffalo Bills taken away.

edit i had to wipe some of the tears off my post. and add an el to the word will . i was very upset .

who tf comes up with such horrid thoughts to be considering anyways ?

I am a fan until they leave Buffalo. Like 3rdand12 said. If the Bills moved I don't know that I could watch the NFL anymore. Strictly College ball

If the Bills move, I would probably still watch NFL football. I wouldnt / couldnt root for or against our team, wherever they ended up, with whatever name/colors/colours. I would feel the same about them as I do about the Chiefs or Redskins or '49ers, etc.

Today on PFT I read that Marcus Allen described Al Davis' feeling about the Raiders thusly: "There's the Raiders and there's 31 other teams." If the bills move, for me it will be "There's the Bills and there's 32 other teams."

I would still hate the Dolphins though.

But I'd be watching NFL games from afar. Like 30,000 feet. Like when I watch college football, the NCAA tournament, or the World Cup.

I wanna see a good game, but I really, honestly dont care who wins. I want to care, but I just dont. After a while, I will probably lose all interest.

If they move, my curse is over. Then I could abandon the watchamacalit Bills with pride and have the right to not feel bad about it.

This time I would select a good team.

Knowing me, I would select the broncos.

I would not only stop supporting the team from that very day, I would stop watching the NFL period.

That would not happen to me for sure. I love the sport, more than the bills.

I grew up playing the game and played it all the way through high school.

+1 The NFL would be dead to me. No fantasy, no other teams, no Super Bowl half time shows, no gambling, nothing. Worst of all, no TBD

I don't like any of the poll choices.

My approach would be to see if the new owners agree to sign a long term lease in WNY. If they do, I'd treat them as I've treated the Detroit owner's Bills. If they don't, I'd bail in a heartbeat.

I know how I think I would feel, but until you're actually in that situation it is difficult to know for sure. Plus, over the course of a few years it's very likely a lot of fans' feelings will evolve. And a lot depends on how good they are. If a Toronto owner wins the bid they are undoubtedly going to say they are staying in Western NY. Some will believe them and many won't. They will look into a stadium and there will be all kinds of reports that make us (or some believe they have every intention of staying).

If the Bills are in a playoff hunt, the fans will want to believe what they want to believe and I'm pretty sure the city will go nuts over them, especially at first. If the team stinks, it's going to be impossible to fill those November and December home games. The real issue will be 2-3 years from when they bought it. That's when fans IMO will begin to stay away in droves because the Toronto owners have only paid lip service to building a new stadium.

Then, if the team is bad, it will become an enormous embarrassment to the NFL. The league is obsessed with its image. That is why there is very little chance, IMO, that they even consider the Toronto group. What I truly believe is that behind the scenes they, and everyone else, will be saying the Toronto bid and group is very real. But the purpose will be simply to drive the price up so NFL franchises are all worth 50-200 million more.

That, to me, is the only reason they are telling the Toronto people they have a legitimate chance. And it's going to work. They are going to bid about 1.2b and that is going to make Pegula match it, which I am confident he will. That way, the NFL gets what it wants: Its image intact, and its franchises worth more than ever after a team that is valued at 870m is sold for 1.2b. Each of the owners will make about 100m overnight just for lying.
