And of course gun control and more scrutiny of who should be allowed to own guns can't be on the table. What solutions? Conservative Christian Texans were killed. I'd think you'd call killing those Nazis a good thing.

B-Man Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Two officials have identified the suspect in a mass shooting at a Texas church as Devin Kelley. The officials — one a U.S. official and the other in law enforcement — spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation, which they were briefed on. The U.S. official says Kelley lived in a suburb of San Antonio and that he doesn't appear to be linked to organized terrorist groups. The official says investigators are looking at social media posts Kelley may have made in the days before Sunday's attack, including one that appeared to show an AR-15 semiautomatic weapon. He shot and killed two people outside before he went into the church. It doesn't appear to be a shooting of "his family" as was misreported earlier. He was dressed in assault gear (where did that come from) I am not a big believer in conspiracies...................but neither do I like coincidences..............November 5th is the anniversary of that famous "workplace violence" the murders at Fort Hood.

B-Man Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) The mass murders were another act of pure evil. According to a statement made during a live news conference introduced by Texas governor Greg Abbott, an armed citizen engaged the mass murderer outside the church. When fired upon, the evil murderer dropped his weapon and fled. Community defense by an armed citizenry. Let’s see how this information plays out in mainstream media. TEXAS RANGERS: ARMED CITIZEN ‘ENGAGED’ KILLER, ENDING RAMPAGE https://news.grabien.com/story-texas-dept-public-safety-armed-citizen-engaged-killer-ending Today's mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, was only halted after an armed Texan "engaged" the killer and put an end to the rampage, the Texas Rangers reported. Freeman Martin, a major in the Texas Rangers and a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says the suspect dropped his rifle and fled after being confronted by a local man who had grabbed his rifle. Freeman provided a timeline of the tragedy in a press briefing Sunday evening. "At approximately 11:20 this morning a suspect was seen at a Valero gas station in Sutherland Springs, Texas," Martin said. "He was dressed in all black. That suspect crossed the street to the church, exited his vehicle and began firing at the church." "That suspect then moved to the right side of the church and then continued to fire," he continued. "That suspect entered the church and continued to fire. As he exited the church, a local resident grabbed his rifle and engaged that suspect. The suspect dropped his rifle, which was a Ruger AR assault-type rifle and fled from the church." "Our local citizen pursued the suspect at that time," Freeman went on. "A short time later as law enforcement responded that suspect right at the Wilson/Guadalupe County line crashed out and was found deceased in his vehicle. At this time we don’t know if it was a self-inflicted gunshot wound or if he was shot by the local resident. We know he’s deceased in the vehicle. " Edited November 6, 2017 by B-Man
Doc Brown Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) The rate of these mass shootings are terrifying. It's sad man. Just people going to church. What's causing this increased frequency (social media, more divisive political environment, radicalized Muslims, etc..) will be key in trying to try and address the problem. B-Man Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 DEVELOPING MEME THAT CHALLENGES LEFTIST MAINSTREAM: The armed citizen who fired on the mass murderer is being described on Fox News as “a good Samaritan.” I agree. The as yet unnamed armed citizen was rendering aid to fellow human beings in life-threatening, life-taking circumstances. The armed citizen who engaged the murderer –engaged the murderer with bullets– was saving lives. Bullets saving lives. How will the mainstream media address this? Commenters, please, like the chorus you are, explain this evolving history. Will “An Armed Citizen’s Bullets That Are Protected By The Second Amendment Saved Lives” ever be a mainstream media headline?

MiltonWaddams Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I don't comprehend those that say that by stating that something needs to be done to take these weapons out of these mentally ill peoples hands is politicizing the situation. It's not. It is seeking the answer to the question "how do we stop this horse crap from happening again?" You can love your stupid metal bringers of death as much as you like, but the availability of them in today's society is a horrible, horrible thing for the US of A and so many of its citizens. 8 hours ago, Koko78 said: Never let a crisis go to waste, eh? ALF Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) Read one article that said the shooter was discharged from the Air Force for domestic violence. His mother in law had a address of Sutherland Springs , maybe she was at that church. (Just speculation) http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/05/texas-church-shooting-who-is-gunman-devin-patrick-kelley.html Edited November 6, 2017 by ALF added a link

As a gun owner I’ve been talking about this for a long time. First all gun owners should have to re-register and go through a background check periodically. How often? That’s up for debate. They don’t even have to register in TX. If this guy did and had to go through a regular background check this may not have happened. However had he gotten the gun illegally nothing can stop that. Nothing!! Ok your turn.
LeviF Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Time to have a national conversation about left wing terrorism. June: Bernie bro shoots up Congressmen at baseball practice September: Refugee shoots up church in Tennessee October: Registered Democrat kills 60 at country music concert November: Atheist with antifa sympathies shoots up church in Texas And just the other day a crazed leftist attacked Senator Rand Paul in his backyard.
row_33 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Lefties are buidling a better world relentlessly attacking our system of common law, free enterprise and attempts to educate even the kids of trash.

Please explain how keeping firearms away from citizens who actually follow the law is an intelligent response to this tragedy. By the way, the murderous rampage was stopped by a neighbor shooting at him with a "stupid metal bringer of death".
